At lvl 65 with my glyphs but only have a 16% chance of the next level, and without being able to go higher in pit tiers solo, how is one suppose to level them to 100
You’re not supposed to anymore
As long as you are within 50 levels, you will still have some chance to level them up if you can’t advance in the pit.
So you keep grinding and having a crack at your 5 chances per run.
What build?
How is gearing ?
You keep running pits until your glyph levels. Currently over in Eternal, I had to level my glyphs at 4%. So what I did was kept running pits until they all reached 100. I currently have 23 glyphs at level 100. GL to you.
That sounds mind numbing. I’m not sure who anyone does that, or even has the hours in the day to do that.
Yeah, I understand. I didn’t always have the hours to do that as well. Currently retired from trades atm, so I just had some free time to work more on my character.
Understandable then. Congrats on your retirement!
Ive never leveled glyphs to 100. I have one character on eternal that has 80s glyphs and none of my seasonal characters have ever went beyond 60. Ive never seen the point of leveling them higher than that.
100 lvl glyphs are for career level players only nowdays. Most of the rest of us have to settle for lvl 46 glyphs.
It actually sounds like a permanent IQ debuff experience.
Honestly same reason to push paragon to 300 or masterwork an upgrade with like 2% higher crit chance than what you had. Every little bit counts.
I’m not one to really condemn the multipliers like others here, but if they weren’t the primary source of damage scaling, the incremental bonuses would be the defacto way to eek forward in power. Plus glyph levels do add multipliers.
It’s really just if you want to do that or not. In the past it might have gotten you a few more pit levels, probably not anymore, and like any other RPG with relatively linear stat growth systems like glyphs, each upgrade is a smaller percentage of what you already earned than those before, so it has effectively diminishing returns.
On the other hand, with item progression non-existent, for those that want some form of progression, these tiny % chances may be all that’s left.
Keep in mind, that you have 4 tries per pit run to level your glyph, 5 with the seasonal blessing. So that’s more like a 64 % chance or 80 % chance.
The chance that you have no upgrade in a run with 5 tries is 42 %.
(0.84^5 = 0.418…)
This does not seem like a plan. Personally, switched from a “normal” to a specific Pit pushing variant . Which is rich because a level 80 out of 150 is now considered pushing.
I leveled my 5 main glyphs from 92 to 100 by speed farming pit 72~79 since I want XP and Obols anyway.
There is 8% success chance when the difference between pit completed and glyph level is 11~20. I think I got a succes upgrade every 3 or 4 runs on average. There were a few times I clicked too fast and somehow got two success in a row.
Doesn’t that take days and sleepless nights? 4%?
Nope, I had regular sleep. Just dedication to the grind and a determination that I wanted to finish my main. Now that i’m done, all I do is nightmare dungeons. No more reason to run pit now, unless I want to get some obols.
just as always, by running the pit.
And why you need to level them to 100???
That’s really the fun part.
Everybody can decide for him- or herself what glyph level is needed.
You can go for 46, so minimum level for legendary glyphs or 60, 80 or even 100. And if you stop before getting to 100, you still have something to grind for, in case you want to spend some time in the game.
