i have all the gear for it, but i keep dying at lv77 in NM41
check your armor and resistances. I found around that level my resistances were kind of low. Make sure you’re investing in +resist on paragon board, have a good aspect of disobediance on helm. Life on jewelry/armor, DR to close, DR, Armor are all defensive stats you’re looking for.
Ball lightning is so powerful but can be a little fragile. Sacrifice so damage affixes for more defense on the appropriate items. MAke sure you have the right defense talents.
And Mage-Lord Aspect can also help if you’re still struggling.

Make sure your jewelry in particular is on par for world tier 4. There is a giant resistance penalty and you have to have tier 4 jewelry to counter it.
A simple fix which you can modify later
- Equip Mage Lord aspect plus Vyr passive key
- Put 3 points on Mana shield and the one before that and also the barrier everytime you use a Cooldown
- Equip DR pants or chest or both
I think the issue when you look at like maxroll .gg or other sites the builds show very little resistance especially if you use the uniques they recommend. They dont even pick up any resistance nodes in the paragon trees as well.
I always say they are just guidlines to give you an idea of pathing as you learn the class.
I noticed that as well that they prioritize damage and seemingly depend on dr from glyphs and barrier. On paper it may be min maxed, but not in practice.

With CL, i was struggling/dying with Monsters level >mine +4 → that would make nm lvl26 or 27 for you … And you are AT lvl41 ?? Seems fine to me !
Adept and Territorial Glyphs also help alot.

I run northwars maxroll build, best in slot with all uniques, and every resistance is capped with zero resistance rolls on gear, I speed farm t100 with occasionally 1 or 2 random deaths every 5 t100 runs, Otherwise my barrier literally never drops. maxroll build has many resist paragon nodes so I don’t know what you’re on about, like you just straight up lying or what’s going on?
Not for when your leveling the build as it only uses a few plus all resistances one being on board 6. You would also need 900 plus jewelry as well. Who gives a crap about level 100 farm by that time you have nothing to do but kill lilith and start a new character. How about you get some reading comprehension and take the responses to the op in context of what his issues were…
I don’t bother with Rainment any more. I find it’s not needed if you’ve got boots with triple charges on evade plus metamorphosis power. Using a chest with 4 defensive stats over the offensive rainment is more helpful I find.

I also followed the build from level 60 and never had a single issue surviving, the minute I hit 60 in wt4 and used my keys to open bloodtide chests for a full set of ancestral gear i was speed farming all leveling content including t30-40 nmd with this very strong build
I was wondering if anyone else was using that exact build. Two of my resists are at 59.1, mayhe that will go higher as I level my glyphs. My jewelry is all mid 800’s so could be better, maybe thats why. Im only missing Tibault’s for the uniques, which is the most important one, so I havent switched to the unique setup yet. My glyphs are all mostly at 15 still. Hard to find time to level them when Im so busy trying to gather Duriel mats. Such a tedious farm.
Are you using the setup recommended setup for pushing nightmare dungeons?
Yeah i’m running his exact nightmare dungeon push setup atm to level glyphs, in town every resist is above 63%, then potent warding giving 9% whenever you use a cooldown, so every resist capped in combat, one ring is 925 though. And my weapon has int and all stats giving another 3% resist

the guides lack resistances especially in the sub 80ish levels. 18% resistance is not going to compensate for the defualt minus 50% you get for tier 4.
The best in slot legendarys have zero resistance so if a person that doesnt understand hiw resistance work will just throw them on becuase the guide says not realizing that the legendary may not be worth it till getting a base level of resistance to counter the -50% to them.

you’re not going to have many BiS uniques early game anyway, and if someone “doesn’t understand resistances”, that’s got nothing to do with these guides, resistance isn’t the only form of damage reduction either little bro.

You still cant comprehend context and generalization… the only “kid” here is you. You’re tring to to act all smart by trying to take a generalized comment and making yourself look like a idiot by taking it literal.
If you look at the boards they skip the majority of resistance nodes in each board it only goes after all resistance nodes and do to that you cannot not get all your resistances till close to level cap. So yes it skips almost all resistances nodes. So for someone new and following the guide to the letter they will be vulnerable to elemental attacks. That was the generalization of the comment that others agreed with.
Oh btw i had godslayer by 72… and was sub fifty percent resistance till i could get to board 6 if not useing pants with 4 resistance stats. So if you say other wise… you are the liar.
