How do you guys do it?

I’ve been wanting to roll a hardcore character, but the amount of times I experience network disconnects has me convinced that I’d be dying left and right. I don’t know how you guys do it. I’d go crazy after a few times.

We simply just don’t go crazy over it

I ‘m not doing it at the moment. 1.1 introduced all kinds of problems with freezes, stutters, and keys not registering. Maybe after 1.1 I’ll start my seasonal HC character, but right now it’s not happening.

I"m kinda of the same boat. I’m gonna wait until the game is in a more stable state.

I’m surprised everytime I see these DC/freeze/rubberbanding issue posts, because my experience have been very stable on the hardcore servers, both in pre-season and now in season 1. I don’t remember having DC’ed or have the game crash even once and can count my rubberband/lag issues on one hand.
However, in pre-season I did make a non-HC character to grind the map/altars just in case… and that was the first time I really experienced these lag issues.
So in my experience the HC servers are way more stable than non-HC, probably due to the lower amount of players there.

This game is poorly optimized. Since it happens to people on good machines too.
My machine is pretty good, GPU is on low end.

One thing I noticed is it likes to use GPU RAM rather than RAM RAM.
So it will make the GPU use a ton of power, and I’m thinking you need a really good PSU due to the huge power usage from GPU.

My GPU will literally be like 40-60%, but I’ll see power usage, Very High. 80% GPU RAM being used. I like 32GB RAM RAM but this game wants to use GPU RAM?

I mean if you step back and think about it,
what causes screen freeze, stutters, keys not registering? What causes it?

I had no issue yet on patch 1.1 and Im level 53. Not one DC, sounds more your local connection is bad

Yes for me as well in 1.1 game got alot more stable. Now that i think about it no Dc.
Game crashed maybe once after a 5 hour session, which is my end i think.
