Hey, skipped season 1 and 2. Having fun but im lost.
Level 83, t4…but I have no idea how to get this new Igneous Core, and searching has turned up some mention of Son of Malphas.
But where is son of malphas? Do i need to do anything special to encounter them?
The patch notes said there was a new way to encounter a boss (which I havent battled yet) and gave information that it needed a new currency. But I have no idea how to get it.
Please help a newb with some info…searching has not helped.
He randomly appears in vaults kind of like the butcher.
I’ve got the igneous cores from heralds of malphas as well.
Of course, the easiest way to get them is to just buy them from the dupers.

He also randomly spawns in any tremor zones, i fought him twice that way
The Son of Malphas is an upgraded version of the Butcher. He appears randomly inside Vaults and you get one chance to kill him. If you leave the dungeon or you die, he disappears.
Unlike the Butcher however, the Son of Malphas can also appear in zones where the constructs are located. I personally fought him in the Fractured Peaks, near the entrance to the Stone Vault.
