Hey so I’ve been playing with the new spiritborn class. I decided to redo the story with the new class so haven’t gotten to the expansion part yet,but my question is how do I gain vigor without using basic attack? I’m level 42,and there just doesn’t seem to be enough resource to use my other skills unless I build up with the basic attack? I’m use to playing sorcerer where the mana just restores itself. Curious on how everyone else is managing to get vigor without basic attacking?
Dont follow endgame builds. You need the unique ring and lots of crit chance.
Vigor per kill and vigor per second. Plus in the Skills trees are some passives that regenerate vigor on conditions.
by basic attacking? like, while leveling you use the basic attack
No duh,but after you reach 60 you are suppose to get rid of basic attacking, and I see garbage passives that don’t really give vigor. I’m seeing a bunch of builds saying after level 60 get rid of basic attacking, and I’m not understanding where vigor comes from then. I don’t even see tempering to help with this.
Uniques, pretty much what it is, you basic attack til you get the uniques
Ah I see. I guess I haven’t been lucky with drops yet. Appreciate it.
The rod of kepeleke helps a lot, depending on your build. Makes core skills free to cast + other buffs
This problem actually does improve when you get the right gear stats or the right abilities. In the Skill Tree, you can pick these Skills:
From the Core tree:
- Vigorous: “Casting a Core skill increases all Vigor Generation by 15% for 3 seconds.”
- Velocity: “If you’ve dealt damage within the last 5 seconds and are moving, you generate 3 Vigor per second,”
From the Defensive tree:
- Endurance: “Casting a Defensive Skill grants 15 Vigor.”
From the Key Passives tree:
- Vital Strikes: “After making an enemy Vulnerable, your next Direct damage dealt to them generates 5 Vigor.”
Also be on the lookout for these gear affixes:
- “+ Vigor on Kill”
- “% Resource Cost Reduction”
- “+ Vigor per Second”
Also make sure you unlock Resource Aspects from Dungeons to use at the Occultist in Town. You can also find many Resource Tempering Manuals that can reduce Resource Costs or increase Resource Generation. Some Rune Word combinations can also be used to restore Resource upon certain prerequisites being met. There are probably Unique Gear items that can help, but I haven’t found any so far. Hope this helps.
Yeah so I actually just picked up a unique ring that’s gives vigor back when you crit, so it is uniques that give you the vigor. Appreciate the help. Ring I picked up was called ring of the midnight sun.
