How do I change installation folder

hello how do I change installation folder

Easiest way? Move your games’ folders to the drive you want them to use (with the Battle.net app closed), then fire up the Battle.net app and change the install directory to match the one containing your games (e.g. if your new preferred install location is on your E: drive, move your games there and select E:\ as your install directory). You can then have the Battle.net app scan for games once to “find” them, or just close the app and reopen it after a few seconds. It will use the newly selected location you set and will operate from there as if the games were installed from the default location.

I’ve got my games on my 4 TB SSD to keep my boot drive from being hammered during gameplay. Frees up a lot of I/O.

4TB?
Damn I didn’t have that foresight, mine game drive is only 2TB, I have to uninstall things every now and then

Mine was 2 TB. Then yesterday my back cooperated enough to move my case (a Cosmos II, so not light at all) out to start the process of cloning. Found out the hard way that one shouldn’t bother trying to clone to a drive that’s on the “extra” SATA ports, usually on a Marvell chip, as cloning programs can’t properly interact with those drives. Once on a normal SATA port I could clone the drive. Can’t wait until I can put the newer components in. Then I get 2 TB NVMe and 4 TB of SATA overflow where games that don’t need NVMe speeds can reside.

My previous OS drive was a paltry 128 GB Samsung 830. Swapped that out for an 840 EVO 500 GB today after I cleaned the dust out of the inside of the case. I’m actually glad I chose a Cosmos II now since a smaller case couldn’t fit the Herculx anti-sag stand that’s keeping my 4090 from drooping. Feels weird to have that stand without its RGB plugged in, but it’s inside a steel case. I’m never going to see RGB inside it nor do I want to.
