Until recently I thought, that Unconstrained simply adds a flat 5 second duration increase to Berserk from all sources (e.g. you cast Enhanced Warcry and get 4+5=9 seconds duration, or if you trigger Rank 1 Battle Fervor you get 1+5=6 seconds duration).
Now I read the description a bit more closely and it actually says “Increase Berserk’s maximum duration by 5 seconds”.
This makes it sound as if Berserk duration from all sources stacks up to a certain amount and doesn’t reset as soon as you get a fresh proc with a longer duration than the active one.
So anyone has any idea how this really works?

I think it overwrites the duration of all berserk-triggering abilities to last 5 seconds. But it doesn’t stack. Only pushes the berserk limit to 5 total.
For example, if you cast warcry and the berserk duration is 3 seconds, with the key passive it’s now 5 seconds total.
Wouldn’t that make it extremely weak for a Key Passive though?
There are several sources of Berserk that would already go beyond this 5 second threshold if you put a few points in the Paragon Nodes that increase Berserk Duration by %.
Now when the game is out and I’ve tried it for a while, AFAIK this is how it works:
All sources of berserk add their own duration to the buff, to a maximum of 5 seconds.
With the key passive, the new maximum is 10 seconds.
I.e. If a Shout gives 3 seconds and you immediately use three Double Swings (with the passive that add 2 seconds) it would have 3 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 9 seconds - the time it took to double swing 3 times (or 5 sec without the key passive)
