I’m actually at a loss for words here.
Just watching the state of the Sorc in season 5 PTR and its absolutely stunning how the class is now in worse shape than before. All defensive skills nerfed, CDR nerfed, teleport nerfed… like what?
It seems almost impossible to stay alive in higher pit tiers and the damage output is beyond pathetic. The new unique has been abandoned by every single streamer due to a lack of consistency and damage.
So what, we need to find a bug that let’s the class even exist in a competitive fashion? I just don’t understand what you’re doing Blizzard, the class needed buffs to its core skills (which are terrible) not a 5% hydra buff.
Like what are we even doing here?
Unless something absolutely massive changes the Sorc is going to be DOA in season 5.

They are not going to fix anything, minimum, until the mid point of season 5.

Welcome to Barblo 4. Where my fresh lvl 1 Barb is stronger than any late-game Bis Sorc - not even joking lol.
Yes Sorc has no damage, no mobility and no defenses. But don’t you worry Ser! Stay positive - The Devs are “listening”. And by listening we mean nerfing you every patch they can.
In all honesty, it’s pretty sad to see everyone raging on the forums, but it’s justified. I mean it is truly that bad. The difference between classes has never been this atrocious. I mean there nothing, and I mean nothing, the Sorc has that any other class can’t do a 1000x better and faster. Even if you give her a 3rd Ench, double weapons, 200%x base damage, I will guarantee you Rogue or Barb will still outclass her.

This is what happens when you Design Items first and Classes second.
They trying to force Sorc through a keyhole of itemization instead of building items to suit them, ones that slightly change skills/playstyles, that are build defining for a single Skill vs defining a Class by the items.
It’s backwards and it’s not going well it appears.

What’s funny is I actually was able to make the rage gaming telestomp build and it was the most fun I’ve had this season!
Sure it could only do sub pit 100s, but man it did it with style.
CDR nerfed, Teleport CD nerfed, oh but it does more damage now! Great so the one build that could actually use that now can’t exist outside of perfectly rolled 3GA triple masterworked gear and even then it’s not competitive.

I like how you say “the new unique” instead of “uniques” because while the new CL pants are underwhelming, the new staff that fires basics skills is so pathetic that I have yet to see someone acknowledging its existence lmao

I actually legitimately forgot it was even in the game lol. Seriously no one is using it.
And you can’t temper uniques….and it’s a staff so no tempering on either hand…rofl
Tempering is the worst system ever created. It should be minor bonuses instead of build defining.

5% hydra buff.
Sorcs are doing billions of dmg with hydra and CL on the PTR.
So the damage is there, you just need to figure out the build. Or wait for such build to become public and copy it.
But I agree that sorcs’ survivability took a massive hit.
