How can I switch between different builds quickly?

Is there any settings or shortcut that i can change from one build to another?
For example ,One build for solo and another for teamplay?
Or i have to reset my skills then change every gear for changing my build?

Nope.

You are locked in. The only way to change your build is by paying gold and manually resetting everything. As you progress the cost, the gear you get, and the number of nodes in the paragon tree are going to make it really none feasible to just reset willy-nilly. The design philosophy is for you to settle into a build. However, they also have been saying that they have designed the content so that you should not need to change builds to conquer it.

I wasn’t hugely thrilled about this at first. But I’ve slowly come around to it.

People are too damaged by the wow notion of needing to change builds for every little different activity.

This.

Make a build you enjoy playing. You’ll be strong in some areas and weak in others. The game isn’t anywhere near hard enough to min/max every single encounter.

No, because respeccing ruins the fantasy something something

Greatest idea ever: Emote Wheel add Equip Change and Spec Change! Usable only in towns.

Nope you are locked and loaded into what you build for. Plan accordingly and make a well rounded build.

Thanks for all of your reply.
Understand, this is also good, it is good to focus on building a good build.

It’s not about min/maxing every single encounter, it’s about enjoying lateral progression. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be able to work on gearing 2 or 3 builds simultaneously, imo would be much more enjoyable and add longevity to the game

Nope. Wow is totally different (and overboard obviously). D3 had it right. 5 slots to save builds in case you wanted to try something else.

Or maybe they want to try more than one of many builds in a brand new game. Outrageous, I know

Nah… There isn’t a single build capable of grinding all the content. Builds great for bossing and mostly slow at farming. Farming builds struggle to do bosses due to lack of aggro mobs… So in order to run through all the content smoothly I have to make 2 chars with different setups… In d3 that was a huge qol improvement when they indroduced armory. I was expecting it in d4 as default. But yeah… D4 isn’t about fun, it’s about squeezing money through players sentiment. Sad.

Another 1 post account necroing a year old thread. Happening all the time now. Why?

Could be a few things but most likely (for this thread at least) it seems to me is because its been a year and we still dont have qol stuff that was in a previous game. :man_shrugging:

This is someone who doesn’t understand that some builds are not capable of doing everything in game. Some builds are great for farming Helltide but not so much the Pit. So, we should be able to save a build in the wardrobe so we can swap in and out. When I play solo, I play a certain way, and when I play with my partner, I play a different build. Nothing wrong with that. I like the idea of having 3 to 5 slots for builds that stores abilities, paragon boards, and gear.
I don’t really want to make 3 barbarians so I can have Thorns, Bash, and Whirlwind.
Or 3 Sorcs so I can do CL, Incinerate, and Frozen Orb.

I think this feature will come into the game at some point in the future, it just needs time to implement. And to be honest… there are bigger problems like class balance etc.

You do realize you are responding to a post/thread from nearly 14 months ago right? When the game was pretty barebones and actually didn’t need loadouts, like we do now.

why the game didnt launch with an armoury like the previous title had is mind blowing.
