I have a PC with multiple Xbox controllers attached. How can I select which controller Diablo 4 selects for reading input?
I can hear some of you saying “Just unplug the ones you don’t want to use”. The trouble is, the PC in question is an Asus ROG Ally with an embedded controller which Diablo 4 selects as the default with seemingly no option to select another controller.
I want to use an external controller when the Ally is docked to an external monitor.
Reasons I suspect Diablo 4 is the culprit:
- The Xbox controller flawlessly pairs with the PC.
- I can navigate menus in Windows 11 with the Xbox controller once paired.
- Disabling the embedded controller does not influence the input source in Diablo 4.
- Navigating to Options > Controls > Controller within Diablo 4 and attempting Xbox controller input shows an input switch from keyboard/mouse to controller, but no inputs are actually used.
- Somewhat anecdotal, but Xbox controller works fine with Helldivers II and Vampire Survivors with or without the embedded controller enabled.
Thanks for your time Blizz
