Not everyone wants to start as Spiritborn. Non Spiritborns shouldn’t be bottom feeders just because you want the new class to be good.
I am disappointed as well that Spiritborn is so completely overpowered compared to other classes.
I wish Blizz would allow more resources into make the classes more balanced with many builds.
Let me know if they listen to you 2 days before launch. I’ll be… what’s the word? Waiting? No that’s not it. Not Caring, yes that’s it.
as a sorcerer…I wont play this season…
I want to play the build i want and have fun…
I dont pay season pass to play what devs want
Also im sick and tired of trying to get uniques the legal way, as it is impossible.
PATH OF EXILE 2 PLEASE COME…
Hotfixing is well within their power to do. We will wait. And We will SEE. What they do or do not.
It’s not a contest just play what you like
Every other class is supposed to be bad right now. It is a contest that Spiritborn has won 10 fold.
Mid-season patch would be your best bet. However history would show they won’t nerf a class into the ground, unless there’s a particular skill/aspect that is quite literally breaking the server. If it’s over performing they’ll leave it in and change it when the next major patch/season hits.
Classes have been nerfed into the ground before. I do not wish this for Spiritborn I would instead like to see actual class balance.
Yes, but again not due to a hotfix that was fixing a server stability issue due to that class causing the issue. They don’t pick out a class during a hotfix and say ‘hey you’re over performing, blam nerf.’
You and everyone else. Maybe in 5 years after the last expansion is out and they stop messing with core systems. You won’t see it before then though, can almost guarantee that.
I disagree with this because I already bought and paid for the expansion. I bought it because I was promised I will be playing an OP class. It’s not the sole reason why I bought the expansion but definitely one of the main reasons.
If they are nerfing SB in S6, well, I would like to get a refund which I probably won’t but I’m glad SB won’t be nerfed either lol. I’m ok if they nerf SB in S7.
Yeah I understand that it’s one sided, but if you’re used to blizzard games, that’s the way if things.
Nobody’s going to die because the new class is OP for a season. It’s always like this, and much of it is due to the fact that you don’t know all the ways a class will be OP as a developer until it is put through its paces by thousands of theory-crafters in the wild.
If you want to complain about something, complain about the fact that much of the build-defining complexity that other classes get from Aspects and Uniques will be granted to the Spiritborn through its innate specialization system. They need to buff the other classes mechanically to add some more layered complexity, not just by increasing numbers. ![]()
They don’t need to nerf SB. They can buff every other class so they are not turds by comparison.
Yes, I agree, and I am sure it’s one of the most common complaints since S0. I know I complained about it too.
But here we are, and we still have the same issue. It wasn’t addressed in the past seasons and won’t happen in the future.
Listen OP, preorder numbers have to be in the absolute garbagecan right now compared to launch numbers.
They ain’t gonna make the new class less OP, or buff the old classes.
You can go into any spiritborn thread on these forums and find real people who are willing to type out:
“I don’t care if its 10x as OP as any other class, because it new – obviously it should be beyond broken”
These are the people you’re competing with, ideologically.
Who do you think Blizzard makes more money from?
People who think the game should be balanced, or moronic franchise sycophants?
I haven’t played the review copies so everything I say is based on content I’ve seen, so it’s second hand opinion, like pretty much 99.9% of the people in here.
That said, the other classes aren’t bad. They are not up to par with Spiritborn, but that doesn’t mean bad. They are still viable, and can still do content competitively. It’s not like base classes are capped at torment 2 while torment 3 and 4 are spiritborn only. Not at all.
Could it be better balanced? Sure. If this is the permanent state of the game for ever going into the future, then by all means, I’ll join the complaint. But as it stands, other classes had 5 seasons of being around. Spiritborn just came out. Let people enjoy it for a season. It’s not to the detriment of other classes as I already stated other classes are still viable, unless you have the mentality of having to play whatever is at the top, and that would be a you problem.
You also have the option of playing Spiritborn yourself. It’s not like you have to buy the class individually, it comes with the expansion which - assuming you’re not a casual due to your balance concerns - you’re already getting anyway.
Well they can make the game good or…
Day 1 patches are pretty common these days, but I doubt it will involve major balance changes. I’m also skeptical that other classes are as weak as some streamers claim. Streamers often focus on the newest toy to attract more views. It makes sense they spend the most time on SB to keep their audience engaged. Also, the best builds often come from communities overseas. They’ll eventually discover OP builds for the other classes too.
New to online gaming?
EVERY live service game does this when a new pay-only weapon/class/whatever comes. It’s completely overpowered for a month or two or three until they’ve squeezed all the blood out that they can, then it’s usually nerfed to oblivion when the next weapon/class/whatever comes out.
