Horse access should be after Act 1

Yeah I said it.

Having it be in the beginning of Act 4 is so ridiculous.

Yes I want to be riding my horsie around and am working on Act 3 now but it just feels like a bad design to put horses availability so far into the campaign.

Yeah I said it.

The hero we need, but not the hero we deserve.

I feel the rationale was to make players get use to the system while also exploring more closely. It’s like WoW, as soon as people got their flying mounts they rarely explored and just speeded to where they wanted to go, not taking in some of the interesting areas to see.

Hope we get to keep the horse for new seasons

Diablo IV - Walking Simulator.

I took long enough to get past T2 and MSQ. If I had a horse it probably would’ve taken me longer with all the wandering I would’ve done.

iirc they’re unlocked in Seasons though.
(But yea Kosh said it above. Time to learn the game. Walk before they Ride.)

But then you’d realize how short the campaign actually is.

I generally like the game, but this I agree with, if you are going to have horse ridding in the game it seems silly to introduce it so far in.

I believe that we do.

We do not have to find lilith statues each season, that has already been confirmed, the stats from those will not reset.

The horse though, is tied to an Achievement that you get and it is that Achievement that unlocks the ability to buy and use the horse and everything.

should be when you’re taken to visit the stables the first time.

Yes, but I rushed through the acts to get the mount. So that theory did not work.

What they should have done is 2 different mounts, with the better faster mount at the start of act 4 and the more regular slower mount at the start of act 2.

The game should never have been designed with a horse at all and it adds a very clunky gameplay loop to moving around the map.

They should give it a cast time so it’s not optimal to ride that monstrosity for 10 yards between packs.

Think its working as intended. They want you to experience the game and its zones before you go zooming through everything I understand its not for everyone.

Which is why I suggested at the end of Act 1 because you should have experienced the game and how to get around and all the various parts to enjoy by doing Act 1.

We do plenty of exploring and walking around into various corners of the map just for Act 1. Time to give us a bit of a faster way to travel.

I agree, man. I finally got it, but it took way too long.

If like me, you started doing all the side quest and trying to complete whole areas one by one, you’ll end up at lvl 50 doing act 3, 4, 5 and 6…
Def should add mount sooner, act 2 at least. Saving grace is when you unlock the mount, all your other characters have access to it.

Once you unlock the mount you have it forever at level one of every character you ever make. So this is a one time annoyance.

No. Horses should be removed from the game completely or have massive cooldown. There’s no use for them. Whole map is filled with town portals and characters run fast enough + there are skills that make traveling faster like dash/teleport.

I disagree I think you can get to Act 4 in a few hours with some help or better knowledge of the game. But atm we all suck so bad we do only 17 damage so obviously it takes a long time.

Personally i think after clearing 2 acts you shoudl get it

Laughs at those complaining about not getting a horse right off the bat, remembers when vanilla wow players had to wait until 40th to get first mount…then 60th to get flying.
