Horrendous drop in frame rate after logging in today

I’m running an RTX 4080 Super and 14700k. Usually run around 100 FPS or more. Today I logged in and my frame rate was fine in town, but as soon as I join a Pit 105 group my FPS is in the 20’s.

I see people mentioning DLSS being a problem with crashing. The drop down menu in game doesn’t even show a DLSS option anymore. This despite the graphics card clearing showing an RTX 4080 Super in the graphics tab.

I guess I could try updating my drivers but people say that causes issues as well. What an absolute mess. If anyone has a fix for this, I’m all ears.

Also seen folks reset their video settings in game and that has worked.

DLSS forced off until a fix can be implemented.

Wow. This actually fixed it. I restarted my whole PC and tried several different combinations of graphics options to no avail, but I pressed “Reset to Defaults” in the graphics window, then set everything back to the way it was and now it’s working fine.

After the update my pc heat up terribly, the fans were howling and I had lags.
I did exactly the same thing as the user before me - Reset to Defaults, set the same settings I had before and restarted the game just in case - worked like a charm.

They removed DLSS from the game.
