This issue has been reported in various other ways, mostly by people talking about the toggle mode. I’m here to tell you Blizzard, Hold Position is broken entirely. I don’t care how you activate it, press and hold or toggle, it doesn’t work. This is a game breaker for me, I will not continue to engage with this game where spacing and positioning is so critical, when my char won’t do what I tell them to.
When you have Hold Position enabled, that should be the ring 0 command, nothing the player does should be able to override it. This has been convention in these games for decades, if someone thinks they’ve got a better idea, they’re mistaken.
