Dear Blizzard Support,
I fully understand the risks of Hardcore mode, but my recent death in the PIT 31 seems like a situation that shouldn’t have occurred.
After defeating the boss with no problem, I was preparing to collect the loot when I suddenly died. I was at full health, likely still had a barrier active, and had not been hit by any shadow attacks or accumulated any debuff stacks. Yet, for some unknown reason, my character suddenly exploded.
Could you please check the telemetry to investigate what caused this? I would greatly appreciate it if you could restore my character and, more importantly, address this issue to prevent it from happening to me again or to others. Experiencing an unexpected death like this is quite disheartening.

many of my friends ripped in either torment boss or pit boss very same as what it is described here. well, this thing happened last season.
i am not full understand the reason though those chars were died after boss been killed and with very clear screen saying “u have finished the pit…”.
well, more over, it happened in season4 for sure, and hardcore players somehow can get it is a big change season, however, this still happening in season5 after a few updates patches like 1.5xxx definitely make many of us hc player uncertain. afterall, hardcore quality and experiences can be very significant indicator in terms of how good quality maturity and playful this game can be, isnt it.

This just happen to me to just now I was looking at forums if it was just me happen to. at pit 61 the boss die then I dash then I die also was some strange duplicate of my character on top my happen so fast hard to tell what just happen petty sure melee me instant death death log show character " was slain by character !

I’m in the exact same position - just ripped my HC sorc full health and barrier after clearing the pit stage. Chest was opened and I was running around it to pick up mats and fell over dead.
No message even in the chat of what killed you. Seems like there isn’t a response or explanation.
I doubt we’ll get our characters back, but it would certainly be nice to have an explanation.

Descecrator DoT damage from current season of Infernal Hordes is another example. As someone who never played SC, I can only hope that undeserved death bugs are as close to non-existent in the upcoming expansion. Or they at least have a fix for such bugs, ideally within a month after beginning of every new season. I can’t be convinced enough to buy the expansion otherwise
