High Textures in graphic settings not available

I have downloaded 85gb to use the high texture pack for D4 but all I get is low and medium . I have a rtx 3090ti with 24gb of video memory so that’s not the problem …. I want to play in full graphics in 4K . Please assist or fix this bug if it is one .

Out of curiosity, what’s your RAM’s size? I’ve seen people reporting that after upgrading to 32GB from 16 the setting magically appeared. Must be something to do with that as well as the option’s ingame description states texture quality is dependent on both VRAM and RAM.

Whatever the case I assume (or hope) at least one of these requirements will be be eased up come launch.

i have 16gb system memory, its just strange, no way does the game require 32gb of system memory… it must be an error in the coding or settings they did… i run so many other games with my 16gb ram fine .

It’s a heavily reported issue yes. Asking because most users that report actually getting the setting to pop-up have 32GBs installed. That said there have also been outliers that can see it with just 16GB RAM, so it’s all up in the air as to what’s the real cause.

My assumption? There’s a sort of “hardware whitelisting” that’s monitored on Blizzard’s side and it needs to go, because for whatever reason if your hardware ain’t on that list it’s automatically flagged as “inadequate” to run with said requirements.

Will surely be solved come launch, probably even before Open Beta if we’re lucky. Blizzard has been made aware of this by a huge number of people and responded that they’re onto it already.

I had high textures available. I did download the HD textures and had the following:

  • RX 5700 XT (8 GB)
  • 32 GB DDR4 system RAM
  • 1080p ultrawide

I also suspect it’s a hardware whitelist since the game shows your GPU model and is fairly VRAM and system RAM hungry. Ran relatively smoothly for me though, with a 1 second stutter using town portal or loading a new area. VRAM was pegged at 8 GB allocated and system RAM around 22-28 GB.
