I have 2 character actually, Rogue and SpiritBorn.
Dropping a high roll aspect is very hard, more harder than dropping mystic items…
I remember other seasons when all my characters got perfect roll aspect, i never felt so hard getting good aspect.
I dropped many 3GA items with low aspects rolls…
I think Blizzard really need to fix high roll aspect drop rate.
I do agree they are a little rarer then they should be. However, I do thing they should be a chase unlike preious seasons where you got everything in a day
They should at least make the ancestral aspects start in range where the legendary aspects end. Sucks to find an ancestral aspect that is lower than the one I’m wearing on my legendary.
The overall drop rate for ancestrals could be higher too. I can’t find decent gloves, but I’m drowning in mystics? Feels kinda wrong.
I too think they are too rare. I think its perfect for the Eternal Realm, but in a time limited season i think things should be made to go faster so people can complete what they want in a season.
they are rare in eternal too. it’s not all about seasons and eternal players have has their progress wiped 3 times since this game came out nullifying the concept of eternal. Gear set to legacy multiple times. Full 100% codex now vastly rolled back. Level 100 characters with max paragon and fully geared rolled back like they couldn’t have just modified the gear and made them 60/300. What is the drawback of having better drop rates on aspects? OMG players might enjoy themselves too much!
Which is weird to be honest. If I get just higher numbers even if they’re just 1 point increase I’ll be fine. But ALL aspects that drop are either lower than what I currently have on Eternal or just about the same. It’s like there’s a barrier limiting the aspect rolls.
You are not using the right method. Here is how I got mine (70% redirected and 13% Interdiction).
Whisper Caches.
The caches are so easy to obtain: 2 pvp caches, Maiden caches, Dungeons caches etc. Within 1 evening I get 20 caches. So many items, so many mats, Ancestral tributes for undercity. The only bad thing is: items in caches are accounts bound but you do it for yourself to get your aspect.
I had to sell 6 stacks of living steel, 6 stacks of malignant hearts, etc had so many.
You go to a zone with a dungeons who has 5 whispers, you kill monster along the way to get the moth returning that gives 3 or the ritual invoking that gets 3.
You can be super-efficient. Then I had 10 ancestral tributes that netted me aspect and 2 GA items I sold for more wealth
I’ve gotten one ancestral ascpect one point higher than the prior aspects in three days (over 12 hours) of grinding T3/T4 content. It’s not just a “little rarer” they’re impossibly rare.
Whispers are good for some things but not ancestral aspects. I can easily farm 3 cache drops in 30 minutes… so 6 an hour. In the last 20 T3/T4 caches I’ve had a total of 5 ancestral items and ZERO had ancestral quality aspects.
Every part of the game has been turned into a pointless slog because it makes streamers and the clowns who watch them play happy and that’s the group Blizzard is catering towards.
I got 70% Redirected and 13% Interdiction that way. I also upgraded some gear. Plus tons of mats, materials and more importantly free ancestrals tributes which gave me many ancestral I sold for good money.
They are very easy to come by: 2 pvp 5 whispers, 2 pvp 3 whisper, Maiden, Bosses sometimes, Undercity and super dungeons with the mythic chest that makes me run invisible. Run to a dungeon, kill monster to give the moth (3 whisper) plus the dungeon and you are at 8. Like I said…I built wealth that way…fully geared up with 30B+
I’ve seen people on both sides of the “it’s easy to get these” and “it’s impossible to get these” divide. For me it’s been the latter. I’m in HC so the PvP drops aren’t happening. But as I said the speed isn’t an issue for me, I typically farm a pair of dungeons in 10 minutes or less for 10 grim offerings, hop over to the tree, toss the reward in my chest then repeat. When I’ve collect several I open them all and get disappointed. This xpac should be called, “Endless Disappointment” instead of Vessel of Hatred.
Agreed. I had a loss in the family so I’ve probably “only” played maybe 100 hrs on eternal, but none of the aspects I’m using, and few others are capped. Used to be they would eventually all get capped or close, but not now.
Five glyphs at level 100, 260-ish paragon, several mythic drops and crafted 2. Countless whispers and hordes done. No trading at all. My build uses 5 aspects. None of them are in the ascended range. One isn’t even close at a miserabele 5/21. It’s dire.
I’m constantly doing whispers no tributes no ancestrals. The game is full of RNG bs.
I don’t remember when was the last time I had an actual aspect upgrade, let a lone a useful one. Probably 25-30h ago and I’m not even close to max aspects.
There’s a stark contrast between lucky and unlucky in this season because drop rates are so terrible. If I knew things were going to be like this I probably wouldn’t buy VoH.
I was so bored of not finding anything useful I rolled a barbarian only to hit a wall trying to find her aspects.
Feels like they balanced all season around 4 man groups and trade. Solo playing is absolutely terrible.
