No idea why, but I cannot play Diablo IV with less than 1000ms, as of today.
From beta to yesterday (6/10) i had no issues with latency.
Before you go and tell me to run ping tests and trace routes and other things, I just want you to know, I have 0 issues with any other game or program. For some reason, I can ping google, facebook, whatever no problem, but if i try to ping blizzard.com or the D4 Central server, instant REQUEST TIME OUT.
Now If I enable NordVPN, I have 0 issues playing D4, my latency is 50ms, but I still cannot ping the server or blizzard without a RTO. I got this information from the tech support d4 forums, ppl having the same issue, using VPN to get around it.
I have Xfinity internet, 800 Down 25 Up, and again, no issues with anything else and had 0 issues up until today with D4.
Same here, i tried to play during 4 days but it isn’t playable. When i enter in my character to walk/run inside the game, ping goes to 1000+ and disconnect from the server. I just want to play but it’s difficult. Blizzard have to fix this soon.
I just tested this a few minutes ago. Worked perfectly fine, got right in. Currently in Ottawa with a 300MB cable connection and getting a 20 something ping…
In Manitoba, 150mb connnection, getting 300-1000ms ping. so it is a problem still, unplayable, they did good with no game issues, now just constant server issues.
Massive lag spikes and rubberbanding.
Playing on PS5 from Europe,Ireland.
Completely unplayable.
Problem only happens in Diablo 4, all other online games run flawlessly.
Blizzard you need to fix your servers/data centers.
You took our money, now offer us a decent experience so we can play.
i’m super annoyed. My PC plays other games fine I never have any issues with lag like I have been having with this game. I can’t even kill a Tier 2 elite quest mob b/c by the time the lag spikes clear I’m dead. I like this game but if this continues I’m just going to give up on it. Sad, I shouldn’t be surprised by now, but seriously, C’MON BLIZ! FIX THIS!
Yeah, according to that, you have no packet loss and decent ping. So it shows you and your local ISP seem to be fine. It has be further down the line somewhere.
Same for me, I have no problems with other online games.
It also doesn’t matter what time, like I made a quick test very early in the morning shortly before I had to go to work.
My Latency in Diablo 4 ist on average 500-600ms, max was 1200+ ms
while I get Latency of 13ms on a internet speedtest, that I got with a Server that’s roughly 350 km away…

while I get Latency of 13ms on a internet speedtest. I have a lot of problems with undesired disconnection. Please give us a fast solution. Luckily that i’m not ussing a Hardcore Pj!
I have similar issues. I can play fortnite, LoL, Warzone, etc with no issues. D4 runs between 500-900ms. Ive tried all the cross-platform, vsync, type tips with no results. I followed some forum advice and did the ipconfig/dnsflush fix which worked for about 2 days. Now the ping is back and the fix doesnt help anymore. Ran the WinMTR with 0 packets lost. Was DNS flush working just a fluke or is that useful information some how?
Hi All, having VPN is a partial solution only due to how Diablo 4 servers under “clusters” are setup. I have a detailed post about this if ya’ll are interested. Maybe someone can find a way to force connecting to a specific server only.
