Hemorrhage Problem

I have an overpower blood surge build but hemorrhage wastes overpower all time. So I use decompose as basic skill but this time essence generation has been problematic. Consuming corpse is not enough, decompose seems a bit slow according to hemorrhage. What is solution? Do you have an idea?

It’s not the theme you’re looking for since you appear to be going for a blood theme, but if the goal is to produce a corpse with a basic attack and get essence, you’ll have more success with Reap and the Acolyte’s Reap passive on it’s branch.

At least that’s the suggested basic attack in many guides that have builds that have some reliance on your character creating corpses and is what I used when leveling to 50 with a Shadow Summoner build that had corpse explosion as a Shadow Ability.

Solution=pay attention on where you’re at with your Rathma’s Chosen key passive. It makes it easy for you. Used Hemorrhage all the way to level 100 this season to generate extra orbs when needed. Never had a problem just making sure I didn’t use it when my next attack with a blood skill would overpower.

Yeah…the annoying part is sometimes you can’t even track the Rathma’s Vigor buff properly because the UI only shows a maximum of 8 buffs.
An easy fix would be to add priority to the Rathma’s Vigor buff and only lose the buff when you actually hit an ennemi with a blood skill. Losing the buff on an interactable object or when you get on your mount is annoying.

I really liked decompose too. Especially since it tracked so well and you can hold it out and spin. Lol.

I’ve also gone with hemorrhage and at 100 with all the dumb stuff I’ve fiddled with, it’s hard to maintain essence. At best I’ve just added essence gen on gear. Hold triangle then x or box as needed. It’s still a pain and I don’t pay attention to rathmas count. I just shoot and Regen constantly. But that’s just how I’ve done it since the beginning.

I set hemorrhage pretty low so maybe that’s my issue. Corpse explosion as well. Maybe attempt to beef them up through gear slots. At least CE has the pants gear slots, unless you’re using temerity. Then you’re stuck.

But honestly for the most part it’s blood mist that brings it back fast. I use it too often now. Especially with the corpse tendril auto grab. That and + crowd control slotted… everyone has been nuked and my essence is back for the next mob group.

Again I’m just screwing around and not trying to do crazy nm dungeons or anything. So what I say isn’t top notch. Just dumb stuff I’ve been playing with.

Unfortunately hemmorage really is the best pick even with the drawback you mentioned.

Generally speaking Rathmas is most often going to trigger near the start of fights, so I make a note to NOT start my fights with a hemorrhage cast, and otherwise just keep an eye on my Rathma count.

‘REAP’ imo is the next best option especially if you have Corpse tendrils:

  • Will spawn a corpse first swing of a combat that you can immediately corpse tendril to pull in enemies and get blood orbs to keep healthy.
  • Gain a short burst of damage reduction (15%) and attack speed (+30% if you kill an enemy after) which you can use to spam your blood surge a bit faster.
  • Will also proc “reapers pursuit” skill for 15% movement until your blighted Corpse explosions start.

Reaps main weakness is elites unfortunately. It won’t generate essence fast enough against single opponents when getting beat up by elites, you won’t get the attack speed increase if you aren’t scoring kills, and at the highest difficulties necros are just too squishy to hang near multiple elites casting AoE’s everywhere.

For that reason alone that I begrudgingly switched to hemorrhage when pushing max difficulty nm dungeons, despite reap being the most mechanically fun basic skill necros have.
