Help with solo leveling XP

Im a solo player. I dont group up often or know many folks that play. Im mid 70s and leveling is harsh at this point. Hours upon hours of running NMD/Hell tides, legion events and world bosses and maybe getting 1 level a day after hours upon hours upon hours of grinding. Pots give me a 5% xp buff, but are there any other ways to gain xp as a solo player that wont burn me out with bordom. I really want to push for 100, but at this rate it will take me weeks and Im just losing any drive to get there. Suggestions please.

Wait until you hit 80 - and you can’t solo NM dungeons, and even plain jane T4 dungeons get hard.

Sorcerer was/is a bad choice.

I solo NMD all the time in T4, are you saying after 80 they get harder?

I’m about your pace as well, just a level a day. I just hit 91. Just don’t go too hard hours after hours, you’ll burn out. The game pace was design to be chillllll, taking the time to explore and such. I usually just log off and go do something else after 2-3 NMD. Play a different game or just anything else really. Then I comeback and enjoy the game much more than just the “grind”

At lvl 72 I was doing T28 NM… at lvl 80 a T21 is almost impossible.

I think your gearing and set up is probably not optimal. Paragon board set up matters alot post 75.

So basically I need to find people to start grouping with to get that bonus XP and keep beating NMD? Damn. Guess thats what Im going to need to do.

I’m soloing T41-45 at lvl 91 just fine, figure a powerful paragon set up for your gears. It scales tremendously.

I am practising ( 92 lvl so far, 2-4 hours per day ) :
Helltide - not just 2 mysteries, but running around and killing things, I usually burn 600-1000 embers.
NMD - Be sure, if you can, to have mobs lvl +3 so you get 25% bonus exp. That means Your level + 3 - 54 = should be tier of NM dungeon. 92+3-54 = 41. I am now running 41 tier.
Legions and word bosses - if you can, do it. Legions are good for xps, world bosses … well at least some loot.

Be sure to always drink some elixir. It gives 5% exp bonus.

Im not having DPS or issues dying in NMD. The XP is just super slow at this point.

For Legion guys, you can go to the campfire and get the xp bonus buff. It stacks up to 15.

Thank you sir, I totally forgot.

Have a nice morning

When I play with clan members, my buddies 74 Druid cleans the board while I sit and die. At 72 it was 180 and I was the one cleaning up the map while rezzing others. It isn’t my build. It’s how the game works.

Yea it gets really slower after 80, but I don’t think too much on it. I just enjoy killing stuff and joining alternative event/content if I get tired of NMD lol.

Thanks for the suggestions, folks, appreciate it.

I was dying to lvl -1 mobs today after hitting 80 … lol. Spiders teleport in, stun, then a couple other mobs join in the process - evade, tp - they don’t work when stunned.

What’s most depressing is seeing guides and videos pop up claiming 20-40M XP per hour and then it takes you several hours to get 17M+ XP to the next level starting in the 90s.

I’d take 20-40M xp an hour if I could get it doing something that wasn’t reset farming the same dungeon like a bot constantly. Usually I do one activity and then stand afk in town for awhile before I have the will to go do something else. I also made an alt of every other class. I have a 30+ of every class, 94 Sorc and 56ish Druid (that got rushed through capstones by friends and leveled much faster than any of my other alts, which just made me realize how wildly different the value of your time is when playing “normally” vs. efficiently).

With my time invested some people have multiple 100s to my 0. D3 also had wildly different XP/time depending on efficiency, but it’s more noticeable here because the game is new and people wanted more from it than they got from D3 I think. In D3 I just do the season journey and then quit a new season after a couple of days.

I’ve been doing 90% tree quests - making okay progress - but now even normal mobs on the T4 map are becoming challenging. Lost 500 cinders today after being quintuple teamed at a chest … twice … ouch.

I forgot to tell you also, doing NMD with monster that have 3 levels above you gives you additional 25% bonus xp. You take whatever tier and add 54 levels, that’s the monster levels of the dungeon.

Even doing NMD with 5-6 levels higher than me, it still takes at least 5 dungeons to get 1 level - at least an hour. And my gear don’t change at all.
Don’t know how people find the motivation to continue like this for hours upon hours just for minimal gain.
