My spouse is playing a druid (level 52) and entering Tier 3, started running into a lot of problems. As a result he just switched his build to this one I found for him:
Howlstorm by Fextralife (forum would not allow me to put in the link).
He does not yet have all the right aspects for it. With this build, he specifically is not understanding how he is supposed to stand still and channel lightning storm when everything just runs up and kills him. I watched him try to do a Helltide and it was painful. I am trying to educate myself about Druid to help out a little bit but it’s slow going. Does anyone have any tips or a build I can direct him to that will make staying alive easier? I play a level 62 sorc and can tear through the Helltides with ease, really want him to have that kind of fun.
I had a real shock when I went from world t3 to t4 so I had to think about how I build.
The advice I would give is to make the helm, body, legs defensive. Things like mitigation and damage reduction. The hands, weapons, neck, rings are mostly for damage stats. Make sure to use the gems and get the build that works for you.
I can’t link my build but it uses two defence skills (cyclone and bulwark) the rest in lightning damage skills and ending with nature fury.
I dont use a meta build but there are lots of good ones out there. Mine doesnt need any uniques to use. I think you can be successful with druid without the uniques for t4
I was also shocked by how hard things hit in WT4 however I accomplished damage mitigation through paragon as I already had the buffs on the gear. It’s only through the games obsession with all elites having a frozen affix of some kind that I run into problems now.
