All these people who are mad. They’re children right? They just don’t understand? I really hope so. But either way lemme tell you how a live service game works since you clearly feel like you paid for a full game.
Imagine you pay for a new house to be built. You bought it all up front. You come check it out in 3 weeks and see only the foundation is laid. Where’s the rest of it? Why isn’t there just a house here? It takes time.
There’s content planned for this game 10 years from now. You aren’t gonna get it all today. That’s just how it is.
People are definitely a little more mad than necessary I think and your point is very valid. But on the contrary, I think since the game is live service, people are voicing their complaints because they know they can be addressed.
Not providing feedback during a live service game (which does often take the form of complaining) is like paying for a contractor to build your house and then never letting him know if there are mistakes. If there is a real issue with the house, even if it is just a foundation, doesn’t it make sense to tell the contractor?
This game formula relies on constant player feedback, which is exactly what players are giving. It can be painful to read through overly negative forums, but the devs are clearly listening and are going to fix these issues soon.
I do really enjoy the game though and your point is very valid. I am excited for how this game is going to evolve over time.
It’s naive people, be it children or adults plus there is no way to shield yourself from complainers in todays social media age where all the complainers can group together instantly and hive mind a game complaint. WILD TIME WE LIVE IN.
This is the most idiotic post I’ve read yet on this forum.
This game took 6 years to develop. The series has existed for almost 30 years since initial D1 development.
A better way to say this is: “imagine you hire a home builder that has 30 years of experience as a company, and you hired them to build a house. 6 years later you are wondering why you only have the foundation poured.”
Nice sentiment. Except when the game is 70$ and has the amount of content a $40 game has.
Yes they are going to milk the money because they can with the battle pass but we are playing a beta, Diablo 3 had a better loop at launch because at least it was an action packed campaign that was fun to run and classes and skills were fun to unlock. This has none of that really.
I understand the point but this isn’t enough for a dev that lives and breathes RPG’s.
I’ve gotten my moneys worth out of it. I’m not mad just disappointed it hasn’t offered me the reply value of diablo 3 yet. If I remember correctly I stopped playing D3 during the first year or two and came back to it after Reaper of the souls. This is probably the same case with this game. I think it’ll get better but it clearly needs more time to be developed.
Well worth the money does not have near endless reply value of diablo 3 yet. Needs overhauls design changes patches fixes.
First off, they literally did pay for the full game. People aren’t upset they don’t have expansions, people are upset they don’t have a working well optimized game. There are literally parts of the game that do not work correctly or at all. Go look up what people found with the necro minion paragon nodes. 70 to 100 is a massive slog and you can see the hole that T5 was supposed to fill, guess they couldn’t get it balanced for launch?
Using your analogy. Imagine you pay for that new house. The COMPANY calls and tells you it’s ready to move into! You arrive and there are cracked windows, leaking roof, unpainted rooms, flooring half put down, and electrical sockets without covers. Then you ask the company why isn’t there a livable house here?! That’s where we are.
Blizzard rushed the launch of the game and now they are rushing to push out seasons so they can make more money with season passes. That’s the issue.
