Thanks Blizzard for making helltide fun again with these Gilean brews. I am now caught up with the endless battle between shards and eggs. Haven’t had this much fun since the VampireTides.

Fun for monster slaying, agreed. But loot quality still lots to be desired. Just opened every single chest on T4, zero GA’s. Not even a one GA drop.

yeah the loot (not ancestral items) are pretty bad unless you are starting out
Fun yes but drops are nothing but normal legendaries. Completely useless past the first half hour with a new char

just cleared both zones and got one aspect upgrade, a 2.4 sec hectic which was nice. for vets, stuff like this won’t be thrilling for upgrades, but new characters will go crazy with stuff. got lots and lots and lots and lots of mats however…
I ran a couple helltides earlier and did get some 1 and 2 GA drops, none were useful though. You do get more chances at loot with more chests opened, but the useful % is still way too low.

Still need a reliable farm for Distilled Fear. Even running Undercity with the Boss Tribute you don’t even get enough for one Beast in the Ice run. On the other hand I’m usually so flush with Living Steel and Malignant Hearts that I sometimes just leave them on the ground.

It’s really sad at this point. There are several activities I enjoy doing in the game. None of them provide anything useful anymore barring Uber bosses and once you have your mythics they become useless as well.
i dunno, to be real, until they put leaderboards in the game we’re just all goofing around

Been running several of these. I’m not seeing any Red-Cloaked Horrors either
Cinders are pretty insane. One maiden and I’m at 400 and my poor pet has passed out from running so much. But only one red-cloaked horror which replaced the hellborne at the end of the frenzy thing.
I mean… You get like 5x the amount of cinders you actually need to open the chests that will drop the same trash they have been dropping since day 1. Nothing new here. This is what happens when you make the most common drop in the game (legendary gear) completely useless.

I pity my dog too. I am past 1000 cinders from a single Hellmaiden run. Fireball Sorc really has fantastic AoE.
you can get like 5k cinders on one guy, open all the chests, then switch to an alt, open all the chests, repeat, lol.
sadly and still get absolutely nothing useful for your efforts

Im not bothering with helltide because I know its trash already. Dont care about yet another potion to stack every 20 mins. Make them an hour or something and all the same so I dont have to keep micro managing everything damn.
I did however get a 2 GA headslot item from Christmas present…
So awesome. My season can finally be over.
