Helltide enemy density designed so you fail

I understand they raised the number of enemies to make Helltide easier for collecting ambers, but really Blizzard, this is your answer. I did (should say tried to do) a area event in the Helltide zone and at one point I had 4 bosses melting me AT THE SAME TIME!!! I had the event boss brought out then the fireballs start dropping from the sky consecutively for almost half a minute spawning 3, that’s right 3 more bosses in a row while I’m still trying to fight the event boss, really??? and also for some reason those fireballs land exactly where you are standing, is Lilith hiding in the top of the trees throwing these things at you ? Cause lava/meteorites should be random landing locations, not where you were standing and where you currently are. I know you let RNG run everything so you don’t have to do anything but 4 bosses at once, and I wasn’t even in a party. If I had known you were going to change the game so much from when it was released (IE: telling us what characters to use, and what builds you think we should be using by killing everything else’s stats) I would not have purchased it. This was my first Diablo game and most likely my last one I will ever purchase if it continues to not be fun to play.

Sounds like a skill issue. Unlucky.

And here is exactly what i said was gonna happen.

They complained about mob density being too light, so blizz puts more, and now complaining too many.

Cant even make this garbage up……

yes you are right, I just don’t know how to play this game. I wish I was as good as you then all I would need to do is tell others how bad they are.

It’s good to be powerful but do not neglect your Defensive Aspects. Barrier, Unstoppable, Stun, Damage Reduction from Close Enemies, Healing based on Close Enemies, Armor Based on Close Enemies etc…

If you want to be a Glass Cannon fair play but don’t be surprised when you go down like a La Ligua Footballer who’s just been accidentally brushed by the billowing shirt of a nearby opposition player.

That boss thing where you are fighting one from the event where it drops the meteors with up to 3 other bosses in it was in the game before any of this mob density was added. It happened to me often when I would solo particular events like the Portal or tornado event that spawn a bigger boss afterwards.

The secret you need to know is that other than capstone bosses and the Butcher is that no other boss in the game can really hurt you, but any elites that spawn during those fights can certainly wreck your day. So 99% of the time forget about the boss completely and deal with whatever BS has dropped on top of your head.

Then there are a few really special events that can pull mobs into these multiple boss/elite fights that you don’t want to be a part of. There is one in Scosglen that if you chase something like a Succubus elite or boss too far that will pull in 4-5 tusked chargers that will absolutely ruin your day. There is another in Fractured Peaks that will pull in 5-6 frost spiders.

Eventually you will learn how to deal with these and when the enemy moves towards these bad points your best bet is to go the other way. They will follow you. It feels counterintuitive at times but there or other techniques that also feel wrong but are absolutely the right way to avoid damage like dodging towards a Balrog to avoid it fire breath when you are close or when the Helltide commander rears it’s head back to shoot the fireballs, roll through it and get all the free damage you can muster from behind while it’s stuck in mechanic for the next 3 seconds.

You will learn all of this if you play enough. But yes, the meteor shower during any boss fight or any fight with 3-4 elite already on the screen can be hard. But again it’s always been in the game. Nothing to do with density changes.

I thought the developers increased mob density to balance out the experience per monster nerf.

Plenty of us complained that increasing it was stupid actually.

Honestly… I didnt have any issues in helltide. But seems to be they may of added a bit more elites for density than they should have. and maybe made sure they were near events, (those places are static)

And I still just wanted overworld buffed a bit with density, But am enjoying NMD density. was constantly killing things, and got almost 25% of a bar from 1 run.

I loved the density in the hell tide. It was awesome, felt dangerous and I collected a mass amount of fire things opened some chests collected my garbage and did some other things.

Personally, I never thought it was a density problem but rather a respawn problem, ie mobs in hell tide take too long to respawn. I haven’t logged in today so have no opinion, yet, on the new density.

Fractured peaks Helltide earlier tonight I managed 1000 ciders in around 45 minutes. The density is definitely making a difference, there are still the same dead transitional areas though. I was hoping they would fill some of those, but this is definitely a good start.

Some NM dungeons people are in for a surprise though. Mercy’s Reach got its mob and elite density buffed. Hold on to your butts in there, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

It’s because it’s Blizzard, and they care absolutely zero percent about user experience. The Helltides enemy difficulty is wildly random. Sometimes I play a hell tide and I’m unstoppable. Other times I play and I get killed every few minutes. It’s B.S. that the level scaling for enemies in Helltides doesn’t seem to be a thing. Instead they just seem randomly insanely stronger than you even though they’re only a couple of levels ahead.

Blizzard ruined this game with all the small things that compile to to ruin what would be amazing otherwise.

Yeah, I like it. I got 6 over there now and the only time it gets a little sweaty is when I’ve done the capstone 70 real early and a little under geared for T4.

Crazy I love all the boss spawns at once more chance at horrible yellow drops.
Btw this is going to seem like so crazy, but you know u can just run away and not die and lose embers? I never understood why some people who can’t handle mass mobs just stay there burning pots like a junky on a San Fran sidewalk.
You should probably not do helltides if you’re dying to them. Dying in hell tide defeats the purpose of doing them in the first place. Run nightmares or quests or whispers tell you don’t die in helltides.

Probably end up getting stuck in the mix. I died that way a few times definitely. Crowd control is awesome when you’re the one using it.

Speaking of running. That assassin boss will chase you so far. It’s like she’s coming for you and won’t stop. A vorheees assassin. Anyhow I was floating around last night and she appeared. Every new screen I went to she’d follow.

I agree though. If you move two steps in the wrong direction, the next mob attacks. Although I’m not a fan of the barbarians lunges or that stun, I really like the amount of creeps on the screen and gear that is sometimes decent. Or at least worth carrying to sell.

Here I am always looking for more challenge, as my character gets stronger, farm better gears, theory craft builds.
Finishing tier 100 with the least liked core skills.
I always crave for more challenge. And thats what makes it fun for me.

Then i go online and visit the forums. I see these people complaining about every single thing they can put the blame on why they keep dying.

I mean, tier III and only 53, Had about 9 at a time, managed to not die and kill them all… just gotta adjust and play smart
