HellTide Dungeons

I was wondering what other players would think if Dungeons within the spawning Hell Tide Affected Area Event could be another alternative to nightmare dungeons but more challenging and require group play for higher loot rewards and possibly exclusives

It would greatly incentivize grouping, and give another option for players at level 100 to farm for gear they need, due to the limited availability of the hell tide event itself it could be relatively balance since you also must meet the Helltide timer in order to complete the dungeon.

Demonic enemies pouring in from every angle, lots of events that must be completed to advance ((and also to prevent rushing through to the end))

So you would get to a part of the dungeon say after 25% completion, and have to content with a mini boss, which would prevent players from advancing until defeated. These bosses Should be hard and a gear check

Next 25% completion you have another segment thats a unique event to the helltide dungeon itself, such as waves of demons being summoned in a specific army fashion

Imps–> goatmen—>Succubi—>Pit Lords ((I call them pit lords because D2)) → Mini boss ((He spawns constantly all the adds you’ve contended with thus far)

The first 3 unique succubi will be elite mobs that can buff the boss and some of the other mobs, youd have to deal with them first, then as a last line of defense, unique pit lords with their own special abilities to fight alongside the miniboss.

Finally you reach a 3rd event or miniboss. This could have a rare chance to be a Chase down event on several treasure goblins to reward the player with some extra gold or rares to sell, at the end would be an elite you must kill to obtain a special Cinder Orb to destroy the barrier blocking the way to the final boss of the dungeon.

These dungeons could spawn any number of 1-3 special bosses, unique to helltide dungeons.

The event could provide a lot of cinders along with its own unique loot-boxes that require cinders to open towards the end of the dungeon, with another helltide unique chest that grants the player lots of crafting mats, and gold.

Players should be able to collect an excess amount of cinders for good performance which would allow them to open some chests in the overworld.

Anyone like the idea? I know its kind of messy as I thought it up on a whim but it serves as a baseline benchmark and I am sure other players may be more creative and accentuate on this idea. Please give me your feedback.

Just as a concept, I agree that it’d be cool if Helltides interacted with the dungeons (and cellars?) that may be in the area. More opportunities for cinders and other material drops, and maybe other special rewards as well.

I agree completely, they need to make the other “tasks” in the helltide worth doing while the helltide is up.

Let’s get some cinder rewards from side quests, from completing dungeons, increased drops in dungeons.

I love helltides, they are definitely an opportunity to build on.

Other than the forced group play, sure.

I was actually expecting the Dungeons in Helltide to be part of the event, I was disappointed when I entered and it was not.

It doesn’t need to be forced, it was just meant to incentivize it and make going through it faster/easier, solo play should also be worthwhile.
