Helltide Commander. How do I spawn / kill one?

I have 1/5 Helltide Commanders killed on my season journey (the last chapter). Can you tell me, please, how to spawn / kill them?

On Google it says it’s the 7th and final portal? I don’t believe this?? Helltide website shows 7 “events” in a given Helltide (orange circles). Do I need to complete all 7, and it spawns?

I don’t have any friends to help.

Thanks! Just trying to finish the journey.

for commander you have to find a blood portal event.
for assassin you just have to figure out the normal spawn area and have some luck.

From my experience it’s random. I never finished 7 events for it to spawn. Usually when it spawned its been when there was cultist standing around doing weird stuff. And then there is the boss just walking around randomly during hell tide as well.

There’s specific event for this boss to spawn. The event consist of a lot of cultist and then spawns multiple portals. After the 7th portal destroyed, the boss will be spawned.
Seems usually the event itself start spawning towards the end of each helltide

It will also spawn a helltide commander at the end of the big tornado event as well.

And if you want to kill the helltide assassin that randomly spawns just follow me around. That thing stalks me, I swear!

Thanks got both! The assassin takes a very long time to solo kill. The commander was like a mage, just had to dodge his attacks and I made quick work of him.

And the assassin counts towards the 5 commanders in the journey.
