Helltide - Cinder and Density Random?

I’ve been doing Helltide a lot lately, and I found that the cinder drop rate and mob density be a bit random in each event. Sometimes, there are no mobs for miles, and I could kill a few batch with no cinder at all. Ending with about 300 cinder in 30 min, horrible grind. Then there are good ones where I can get 1300 cinder easily in a full run, non-stop mobs, never a batch with no cinder. This could happen in the same zone.

The difference is too huge, when it’s that’ slow, I just leave and do something else. Is there something I’m not aware of? Is there some way to tell if it’s a good or bad Helltide event? Thanks.

There are usually mobs by all the chests and shrines.
Outside that, yes there are patches where it is empty or someone else beat you there and mobs have not respawned yet (and you were outside the vicinity to get what dropped). If you feel like it is unusually empty. You can tp to town, count to 3, and come back it may put you in a different scenario.

There is no good or bad, all of them have enough mobs and time to get 300 cinders easily.

Helltide Tip of the Day: Along with all the other ground stuff that drops cinders…did you know that Whisper Chests also drop cinders when in Helltides?? Always have some keys on you.

Same, sometimes i get like 10 cinders in a pack sometimes its 2 for a similar pack. Sometimes its 300 cinders in 30 min sometimes its 700 cinders in 30 min. Balancing games is not their specialty.

It depends on the map. Some helltides are better than others but late game your consistency getting 1200-2000 per hour

It does vary per area but for 300 cinders, you can usually get them in around 10 mins. The best Helltide is that at Gea Kul, where you can just run between 2 events just outside of the north gate.

Yeah it seems to be depending on the mob type?
Some areas are really bad, kill a big pack, get 1 cinder, sometimes 0.
Then there’s areas like in Hawezar just now, the mobs there drop cinders like crazy.

chest and shrines have the most mobs. White chests can spawn a large portion of Cinders.

Always check chests! They do drop quite a bit of cinders. Also get a good bit from plant spawns, though this varies a lot. Sometimes I’ll get a half dozen with herb, and sometimes zero.

I don’t see a big variation overall, I can farm 4 chests every helltide 100% of the time with 10 mins minimum left, you just gotta be fast, and as a ssf player I found just following the edges of the zone to be the best for chests, those ore deposits with lots of cinders, and those red glowing things you click on to drop cinders

I found out the issue, it’s bugged and relogging works.
