Heir of Perdition Ability to "Steal"?

I get that Heir of Perdition (HoP) is more damage than Harlequin’s Crest (Shako), but that last ability, “Slaughter enemies to briefly steal Mother’s Favor from nearby allies” doesn’t make sense.

If it could GIVE other players in your party the damage buff temporarily and let you rebuild the buff on yourself, it’d be awesome.

However, having a mythic where the buff can randomly go away if someone else in your party is wearing the same item, is pretty lame. Even if it steals it and gives you 2x the buff (e.g. 120% damage), that sucks for the other person and makes the damage inconsistent. Shako seems it would be better overall without this cursed aspect.

Has anyone gotten more detail or tested this?

I believe it’s actually better when it stacks on itself. Multiple 1.6 by 1.6 is better than two people doing 1.6x each.

Even if the buff isn’t multiplicative with itself, it’s a trivial difference. There are far more pressing problems in Diablo 4 right now
