Hear me out:

  1. Agreed we need blood mages, no build or anyone do anything with cold damage, can even remove that dumb unique for it and the dumb cold aspect for it that no one ever used…

  2. Remove ALL the uniques that has no use whatsoever , also tired of seeing a new unique added and only YT theory crafters/ content creators showcase a possible use.
    who even used that unique shield for anything good?

  3. Bone storm should be a up there next to mist why is it an Ultimate…upgraded bone stone should add shielding storm aspect into the skill tool tip to reduce aspect slots, then have the option
    fairly low CD bone storm: causes bone dot damage for 2sec instead of shadow with considerable DR or Consume 5 corpse to increase bone storm time .

  4. I think Iron Maiden was thought up to be used if your doing thorns build and or pvp that only 1% of the population even do. IMHO toss that skill away altogether decreptify lives rent free on every necro skill bar.

  5. Find some kind of Cool effect looking Bone related skill to be ultimate, maybe let it summon a mean looking bone spirit that stays up a few seconds going around blowing things up, All 3 ultimates does same kind of damage range with its added skill effect. Thereby Removing bone spirit as a skill altogether. Your bone game play will now be if u want to use Visage or howl from below.

  6. Playing bone build: Ossified essence key passive | Playing blood: Rathmas Vigor | Playing Shadow: Shadow blight >>>>>>>>>>> Minion builds can use any of these.

  7. Rework Sacrificing, you sacrifice but still get a simulacrum which cant be killed since we can get added defense and damage for having a minion out, it woint be as much DR but just enough to survive…whatever Core or basic skill we fire they fire too.

  8. Remove Blood surge, nobody wanna stand still firing this when all kinda hot madness can 1 shot u on the floor… Blood lance and Bone spear can be slightly same in damage output just different was to achieve it, depending on your choice playstyle.

9 . Remove summoning damage temper to free up the tempering rolls , no one be using that.

  1. MAKE USING A SHIELD A NECRO VIABLE THING WITHOUT A LOST TO DAMAGE: Necros shouldnt need to use a focus, heck the focus should be Wizard specific just like druids totem, Necro is showcased with a shield sooooooo why don’t we have a use for it currently. The shield should have specific affixes designed to add a huge survivability bonus without Damage loss. This gives us additional Aspect slots, more survivability and able to use 2 uniques comfortably to keep up/ or enhance damage. Lastly Comparable CDR to a focus should be appear on shields affix rolls.

10.b. Rework aspect so that using 2H or 1H+Shield works out just about the same.

  1. Maybe Also Remove Bone Prison, that has to be very bad on controller, how about adding a second Corpse Tendrils aspect which has the added effect of creating a bone prison when pulling all the mobs and one that pulls, creates the prison and also forms pool of blight thus removing that aspect which no one uses and buffing shadow damage and DR.

  2. Bone Spear: bone build, Blood Lance: Blood build, Sever: Shadow build different playstyles, each can be played with a minion for added survivability and some damage or glass cannons. almost identical in base damage outputs, your Gear: (affix , Temp, masterworking) affects the total damage output u can get… Seasons may buff 1 play style over the other to create variety, but each should still be viable for whatever content you want to play.

  3. Minion only build can exist like it is currently with the better balance/fix to paragon board.

remove poor uniques isnt the answer. Rework them, yes.

I say that need change. All endgame minion builds are using Blighted Aspect and Reapers.

They need change blighted aspect to works with shadow damage only. And reapers are a single warrior picked for all builds… Just give the corpse generation hability to all warrior types. This will made all skellies viable for any build.

Oh yea I did need to add something about the different skellies, Find some use for the normal skellies and the defenders LOL just dont know for what content they can be specific for … But if they all can pop corpse then the reapers has no special function LOL

They can replace that bonus with something elese than.

My suggest: Reapers have a 15% chance to form a blood orb with special attack.

way outclassing the skellies… They need to find a niche for them, they get no love whatsover…

I don’t think the Necro needs a full class overhaul, but we may be getting that in S6 with the expansion anyway (all classes). At least changes that make them feel different anyway.

I think the ability to have blood mages/skeletons would be good. Potentially even making the book of the dead a little more complex, make it a minion skill tree of sorts.

You get to choose damage type, effect, and buff, or sacrifice with variants.

For instance:
Skeletons:

  • Frost
    • Attacks against your Skeletal Warriors slow the attacker and their attack speed
    • Your Skeletal Warriors attacks grant you a barrier that chills enemies that hit you
    • Your Skeletal Warriors chill the air around them making enemies in range Vulnerable
  • Bone
    • Attacks against Skeletal Warriors do thorns damage
    • Your Skeletal Warriors attacks grant you fortify
    • Enemies hit by your Skeletal Warriors have a [ x ]% chance to be crit, stacking 10 times.
  • Blood
    • Attacks against your Skeletal Warriors cause Plagued Blood (DoT effect / Bleed) on the enemy
    • Your Skeletal Warriors attacks heal you for [ x ]%
    • Your Skeletal Warriors drain life from enemies in an area around them
  • Shadow
    • Attacks against your Skeletal Warriors have a chance to cause them to explode for [ x ] shadow damage and trigger miasma where they die
    • Your Skeletal Warriors apply shadowblight to their targets
    • Enemies in range of your Skeletal Warriors are cursed with Decrepify and Iron Maiden

I don’t really think our ultimates are that great, they could easily just become core / defensive / mastery skills. I’m just not sure what a good replacement for them would be.

I think Necro should be able to equip 2h Scythe AND a Shield.

Agreed with that one. For now I can’t bring myself to say -“Book of the Dead”. Scroll of the dead will be more accurate)

When an enemy is executed by Reaper, it explodes Blood Nova which causes unhealthy enemies (HP below 80%) in radius to explode Blood Nova.

They should shift from Necromancer to Necromonger.

As we see in the vid i posted them defenders add xtra defence and they also agro… so maybe the warriors can bind , daze , slow, blind, quick dps

Ehh. Sounds like you only play bone spear necro. But anyway. I would totally like to have a simulacrum. Loved those in d3. Freaking triple blood nova everywhere. It doesn’t need to count as minion, as it didn’t count as one in d3. It just takes skill slot. As for shields, it could have offensive or defensive aspect to choose whichever you want to use. Also the block chance could vary from the 20% to maybe 30%. There maybe could be some temper or aspect to go beyond that. But that just sounds wild. Unigues need atleast 1 temper slot imo. Would make them way valuable. Not that all unigues suck. Having a blast with Cruor’s and Bloodmoon.
