Healing received

I need some help with one of bonuses of a core stat. I am not sure if I understand this correctly. As you invest points into Willpower, you get percentage of an attribute called ‘healing received’.

Let say my maximum life value is 1000. My current life is on 50%. The value of the ‘healing received’ is 0%. I hit an enemy and heal for 3% percent of my maximum life, so my current health should go up 30 points, which will be 530. At that time, if my ‘healing received’ could be 10%, if should be getting extra 10% with 30 points, thus end up with 33 points received.

Is that the case?

Thank you.

I believe healing received increase is for skills that heal and potions. Has nothing to do with hitting an enemy. As far as I’ve seen there is no life on hit mechanics. There are how ever life on kill gear and the skull gem also adds life on kill. So healing received should increase those values I would think.

Hmm, just looking at Druid - Circle of Life: Nature Magic Skills that consume Spirit, Heal you for [1-3%] of your Maximum life. I can probably check and observe the values of a health globe once in a game. Cheers.

Look at the necromancer blood skills and passives, they have a lot of use out of healing recieved. As they gain bonuses for staying at healthy ranges of life.

Well … that is not entirely true. While there is no in-general “Life on Hit” … we do still have similar mechanics in-game:

Rogue

  • Passive Talent - Siphoning Strikes: Heal for (1% to 3%) Maximum Life when you Critically Strike Close Enemies (i.e. melee range)

Druid

  • Active Skill Upgrade for Shred - Enhanced Shred: Shred gains +30% attack speed and Heals for 1% of your Maximum Life if an enemy is struck

  • Snake Spirit Boon - Masochistic: Critical Strikes with Shapeshifting Skills Heal you for 3% Maximum Life.

Eh, its relative healing received % to whatever healing you are getting. You have a source that heal you for 10 HP and then get 30% increased healing received, then you heal for 13 HP from that source.

Blood necros can generate blood orbs, so they really benefit well from extra healing recieved. Which in turn gives them higher damage, as well increased overpower damage.

Along the same idea Sorc Flame Shield says you heal for 50% of missing life, and i have +24.3%. so say 1000Hp missing 2/3 so i would heal for 1/2 of 666, plus the 24.3% or 80pts so roughly 414, or am i missing something?

yeah, I was just wondering if this is a worthy to have - “healing received” on items, but playing druid it comes with willpower. It might be helpful with a quick health regen per second… still testing, cheers anyway.

So if I have a +20 “Life Regeneration while not damaged recently” and +3.5% Healing Received, it would actually be 20.7 healing? (if I did the math right lol)

there IS life on kill…does the “increased healing received” stat work to increase the life i get on kills?

Just tested 2 setups with siphoning, definetly works.
3x Siphoning gave me 277 flat per crit.
Willpower 29.6% increase = 359 flat per crit.
Equipping a Helm with 19.5% incease = 413 flat per crit.
