I can’t count how many times I am in the salvage menu for the blacksmith and I accidentally salvage an item that I want to equip by mistake. I get we need to “pay attention” but there is soooo much going on around us in game sometimes it’s easier said than done.
If you had a warning like you do for the Legandary items (to be honest, idk why you don’t have it for ALL items), people like me, who aren’t as good of gamers as others wouldn’t get frustrated with that system and lose out. I get that Rare items aren’t as good as some legenday items but at the same token, for someone like me, they’re needed earlier on in the gameplay.
EDIT: Since people are complaining about this suggestion from me, why not have the capability of being able to turn it on in the menu? On top of the fact that they in telling me I need to “pay more attention” they need to pay more attention to MY post, because specifically stated …

Then it would take three times as long to salvage each item.
If you find that you are constantly making this mistake, then instead of inspecting everything in the salvage mode of the blacksmith, do it in your inventory and mark the stuff you want to salvage as junk. Then go to the blacksmith and salvage all junk. Problem solved and easy to undo if you mark something by accident.

How about instead you pay better attention. It already warns you when salvaging legendaries. A warning on each rare? How about no!

I have serious suggestion that might help, get used to following habit: When you want to salvage tag everything you want to salvage as Junk. Go to BS, use “Salvage junk” instantly get out off salvage screen. Simply condition yourself to only use “Salvage junk” and hang there only for a second. Do your decision safely by using “junk” tag outside of that screen.

Normally I don’t. For whatever reason, today, it’s happened to me twice. Maybe it’s because I haven’t been feeling well today and haven’t been paying as close attention as I normally do? Idk. And idc. It’s just a suggestion, and being dumped on for that suggestion doesnt’t help lol.
Just use your eyeballs, we don’t need to make the loot more tedious to clear out.

wait…how do you TAG something as JUNK?
Mouse hover, press space, then when you sell one junk to vendor it will autosell all junk. Or you can “salvage all junk” at bs

I’d rather have a “mark as important” than the “mark as junk” that we have. I need something to save the good loot. The bad loot is easy enough to get rid of anyways.

Btw, thanks for not being smartass with your response
like most other people here.

Learn from your countless mistakes and go about things slower and pay more attention instead of transferring personal responsibilities onto a 3rd party.
I think when you go to the black smith it should start with repair, upgrade, then salvage. This way you don’t accidentally click on salvage. I went to upgrade a rare weapon and clicked on salvage by accident, and dismantled it since it was the first item in the inventory…lol oh wells
