Has it been confirmed that they patched out the high item power drops for this and the other weapons? Not sure if I should still be wasting my time with that spawn.
can confirm that it is still dropping with high stats … just found an ancestral 832 item power w/2,603 dmg/sec while farming it.

it is not dropping at all now since the shako exploit got turned off
It just dropped for me a few minutes ago. Seems pretty busted.
At item level 798, it does 2278 DPS (meh). Implicit vuln dmg is typical. Here’s the deal… there is something that really stands out about this item…. it only has 3 affixes. THREE. One, two , three - not 4. Mine has shadow damage, core skill damage, and damage to close enemies.
This is the first time I have seen an ancestral crossbow with only 3 affixes. What is so special about this thing? The fact that it does shadow damage? I got a decent roll, 27% (14-28%). I dont think I’ve seen another crossbow that does shadow damage, but who cares? I’d rather have a 4th affix and I would rather add more vuln dmg, crit strike dmg,or crit strike chance any day.
What is this?
On a somewhat unrelated note, it does seem like uniques are suddenly dropping left and right the past couple of days. I’ve picked up 6 in less than 3 days. That’s more in 3 days compared to what I’ve seen since the game got released. This would be awesome, except it seems like rogues have terrible uniques. I’m happy with my penitent greaves (but it’s not even a rogue specific item), and the nameless cowl is pretty decent. And I would be excited about condemnation if I had a combo points build. But overall, the “exceptional drops”? it’s all pretty much trash. Especially this haunted crossbow.
I got one at 802 on my first drop yesterday, killed them 5 or 7 more times and haven’t gotten another drop yet.

Fixed an issue where items of higher power than intended were dropping from rare monsters
I still have my 2h 841 weapon. Not sure it might just be grandfathered in
