I tested it on my druid since I had my old companion build saved + my cata build.

My companion build is missing an item because I salvaged it a long time ago.

It simply tells me that I’m missing an item and am I sure I want to load the build, missing items won’t be equipped and loads it anyway with the missing slot empty.

edit: you can then put an item in that slot and save over the build without an issue

As much as I defend this game, things like this and all the little non game breaking bugs…it really does feel like the “C” team is coding it and all the development money is paying for artists for the cash shop and battle pass.

That’s odd, it won’t allow me to salvage something tied to a saved build even if I want to. Oh, and of course you can’t delete a build, you have to save over it.

I don’t want to test that but if I recall correctly it asked me if I was sure I wanted to salvage (or maybe it was vendor) an item that was saved or favorited. I have a better version of the unique that I use in my cata build so I got rid of the other one.

You can, it just warns you.
Then you equip the new item and save it over the old Armory save.

Works fine for me.

it favorite the armor when saved in armory, you just need to unfavorite it to savage. it nice they added a safety measure.

Yup, same for me, was able to load it with two missing equipment, with the warning saying it missing gear.

Also, you will need to update it once in awhile, to keep the paragon up-to-date as well.

Stop making sense. Obviously it can’t be that simple, right?

To the OP - it isn’t broken, you’re just not understanding how it works. It works exactly how Borg laid it out. Try it, you just might be amazed?

Sad thing is that they have reference code from D3.

It’s a user error issue, all working properly.
