Hate the barb nerfs like hell

Played S4 as first season of my life. Got finally an endgame barb for the first time, that could win pit 106.
And guess what, now I struggle at pit 70…

It feels so massively senseless to buff one char in one season to make him s-tier, then take that advantage away again.

I am not sure, if I even regret, having played S4. Gave me a false feeling of being good at this game.

And those unique improvements? Didn’t change a single unique for the new ones beside Shako.

Now my bash barb needs a unique from S5 that didn’t drop in 20 carried tormented boss runs, but instead multiple clone drops. Fantastic, Blizzard. Maximization of frustration.

Now I even lost all my stones.

I understand the sentiment. I had been there but far worst. S0 and S1 Hydra was able to do NM 100 but since S2, it can barely do NM 50 with the same build.

But we moved on. We got more reliable Conjuratuon and Burn builds now. We are not pigeonhoked to the old Hydra though I miss that old Hydra tbh.

I was looking at some of the builds that are meta this season and they all look very unfun and clunky to play. So I’m skipping this one. Barb is fun tho. Hydra sorc would be fun, etc.

Yes for 4 seasons. Welcome to playing the game like the rest.,

Rolled a rogue… lvl65… barrage with shadow imbue and some aspects with a few tempers… I’m just blowing up screens in NMDs 40+… it feels like cheating because screw everyone on this screen and the next… complete disregard for everything alive or dead or somewhere in between…

I effing love it…

My bash barb is doing Pit 102 in 12 minutes. Not sure what you’re struggling with.

Oh yeah? well maybe I’ll give that a shot, thanks.

Have fun… I’m still missing Umbrous so I’m casting Dark Shroud manually. As soon as that drops I can take shadow step for unstoppable.
I’m also rocking resists as tempers until I have better gear and access to the top gems.

It’s day 2. Give it a bit of time to figure out a new build and get some of the new better uniques and your pit levels will climb again.

I was really upset about the barb nerfs, then somehow my particular build came out stronger (even before getting any new gear) and I’m honestly not even understanding how that happened.

I rolled a Rogue too… started with Rapid Fire but around lvl 38 changed to penetrating shot… with shadow imbue, a few tempers, sub-optimal gear (as well) about to hit lvl 52, those last 14 lvls flew by! The playstyle is clunky but I’m getting used to it.

Sorry, replied to wrong post

He has to actually learn how to play the game now.

Happens quite a bit with “B tier builds” somewhat

I guess I got lucky.

Well you probably ran an Upheaval Barb or Frenzy (those were quite underpowered for a while but think there are good items for S5 now for both)

Think I should try my Conjure Sorc from S4 in Eternal, think it’s gonna blast now 10 Pits higher somewhat

Im only level 91 but still feels pretty good so far.

If you are looking for one of the new uniques (as opposed to an old one that got updated), you are better off farming them in the infernal hordes.

Whirlwind hybrid actually.

What items did Upheaval get? Hellhammer rework to include Upheaval Size Temper? Sundered Ground Aspect got a very slight buff. The Base Damage was increased by x15% and Violent Upheaval (which why the heck would you use that) went from 2 to 3 seconds of Berserk and the Enhanced Upheaval Stun chance went up fron 25% to 35% and lasts a little longer.

Sounds good, until you realize Key Passives went down by x80% and IAS from WA went down 10%. Sure, enemy HP went down a lot (when it gets fixed) so it should be a marginal increase from a B-Tier Skill.
