I think it’s a bad game design that we have to team up or solo these level 200 bosses because in D3 you can get Primals anywhere.
Where is the fun if you have to only kill level 200 bosses to get Mythic Uniques
It like a pay wall inside the game saying you only get Mythic Uniques if you kill level 200 bosses
I’ve gotten them from non-tormented duriel and andariel, sparks, and a couple from open world drops. None from tormented bosses as yet (IIRC). On the other hand, the tormented bosses seem easier this season, even solo, so that should be the way to go.

You didnt get any from open world drops nice try tho and this is a fact. I have over 70 days playtime since launch all mythics have been from ubers. And dont get me wrong its possible maby you found 1 in open world sure 1 is fine… you didnt find a “couple” in open world that is just a silly lie and grown ups shouldnt lie. Yet again for all i know you just play the same character on eternal and that is completely different from starting a new character every season

I think farming uber bosses means you play all content, so actually im quite in favour of the tormented versions of the ubers. I absolutely hated them pre tormented versions, and I never did them.
I have found a handful of ubers the last 2 seasons, and I only play solo. I think the challenge of tormented bosses is very low, so I would not call it a “paywall” or any form of masonry construct^^
I’ve gotten a grandfather sword in the pit. I got a guildie who got a 2GA shako in helltide last season (he spammed it in chat). Yeah, they actually drop outside of the boss areas.

I play eternal sometimes but mostly seasonal
Like i said huge difference finding uber in open world on an eternal character you put over 3k hours on compared to a new seasonal character every season putting 200-300 hours per season. Simple math unless you no life the game still which is fine im not hating but i cant answer that haha

Lets be real blizz ruined uber drops… i shouldnt be getting an uber every 10 runs after spending a 100+ runs getting them in S2… you understand we have been grinding non stop for our crap just for them to boost rates and make it easier? How in the hell has nobody made a post about that yet? S5 has been pretty awsome for most part in my opinion after S4 break but its so ovious that blizz is having diffculty giving the hardcore players anything because of the amount of backlash they get from the mmo guys who made this game home trying to compete with the arpg players who push hard content lol
They want you to go for GA Mythics. Getting a based shaco is easy, but getting one with a CDR GA and +3 masterwork is your new BIS now. I find its lazy item design when you’re just farming for a better version of your equipped gear.
Got a shako on my first regular Duriel run this season. Seems like you get 5x the loot for running tormented so my WAG is that it’s a 1.5% chance where tormented is 5 1.5% chances.
I got a Tyrael’s at level 70 soloing a normal Varshawn. In hindsight, that’s almost always a waste of the mats but I was trying to get an ER staff and ended up getting a bonus Mythic on top
im 115 pit with bash barb running pvp and farming horde. I know ill get to pit 140 pretty easy and im completely decked out with 4 mythics like the average S5 barb… FYI GA isnt special when theres not a whole lot to do and im telling you there arent alot of barbs getting far in pit S5… GAs for barbs right now can probably get us maby 5-10 levels higher in pit nothing special and my build is popping most sorcs whose dps is otherworldy better then mine
Reg duriel isnt considered open world… i missed S4 so im not sure when they added quad drops but orginaly Duriel was the ONLY farm for ubers it falls under same catagory as doing uber runs
My first one drops from regular Beasts in Ice while farming for Fist of Fate.
