Hardcore/ Softcore needs new rules

Imho everyone should by default start on hardcore and once the hardcore character dies it goes to softcore.

At the same time everyone who survives on hardcore should get special transmogs, mounts etc. if completing specific things in that mode.

So many chickens in hardcore currently it can’t be described as hardcore anymore when people stay out of Dark Citadell T4 and grind the same mount on softcore first. Same goes for Uber Lilith, all the chickens playing hardcore and swapping to softcore to grind the mount.

So my idea (TLDR):
→ All start by default in hardcore
→ All players have red names and gain 8% more experience as long as they don’t die
→ Complete specific content (Dark Citadell T4, Pits 125+ solo) for mounts and transmogs
→ If you die, okay, make a next char on hardcore but your character is now softcore (I’d personally delete the char because softcore = unusable useless timewaste)

We all benefit from this. LFG is full, all the chickens can go T4 DC and fill the groups and everyone is blasting.

If you hardcore players can’t join in that this is a great idea I have a new idea:
→ Remove all mounts and other stuff earned on softcore from hardcore. Nobody should use a red blood horse from Lilith in HC mode if not earned on hardcore and solo.

I really feel for hardcore players. I normally switch to hardcore when softcore gets boring. Diablo used to be a game or DPS and defense, the bigger wins. But since they added all the gimmicky insta-kill mechanics I don’t even know why anyone would play it. Or if they do, they only play half the game. Just another aspect for Diablo slowly dying on the vine.

Its just boring now if you dont have a clan or group of friends who play.

You barely find people in public.

This whole post is smelling like overcompensation, big hc man? Stability is garbage since launch, ppl most likely lose their chars due to stupid dc or memory leak.

PoE does the middle ground: if you die with your hc char it will be transferred to sc, you don’t lose anything but you can still show off your big big epeepee if you’re trying to make up for the real one.
