Played Hardcore the whole time but seems like I might rely on randoms in the raid and the upcoming raids.
Plus I don’t even have death evasion - which I am fine with but not sure if I am fine with that going in raids with randoms relying on a scroll of escape.
If I wouldn’t have to collect all statues of Lilith I’d go softcore but now I am kind of forced to go hardcore lol…
Hardcore is for a special breed of player that likes pain and suffering. Its not my cup of tea but I can see why players go for it.
I created a hardcore for season 5 and had to do statues and renown all over again - but they have made renown slightly easier in S6 VOH - And it will only take you an afternoon (or less) for the statues.
Alright, can’t really decide on softcore or hardcore.
I played it almost exclusively in D2 and D3. I won’t bother yet in D4. Here’s why:
Things like the change they just made to elites coming in S6/x-pac. Some elites drop electric fence that does double the damage of lower elites. If you have them in the same pack, you don’t know which is spawned. Avoid them all you say? Of course. Why didn’t I think of that. No—my point is that all of it is unstable and unpredictable. They are still tuning incoming damage, our access to damage reduction, enemy types, on and on.
This doesn’t even include the long list of bugs, lock-ups, game crashes, etc.
Until the dust settles into a stable, predictable damage table I am not bothering with the possible aggravation.
Alright that sounds smart…
I have Lilith Statues and Map discovered on softcore and hardcore. Am I missing something? I think I might just play Softcore this season and check out the game without stress.
My problem with HC is dying to random hiccups in the game. Not even a complete DC but like a freeze here and there for 3-4 sec., sadly happened a bit too often for my taste
The other thing I dislike about HC is the strong deterrence against playing builds and skills that are more closer-ranged and melee…
I did make a new character recently and played the whole campaign again in WT2.
Never died once!
Could have done it in HC
It’s getting much easier these days
Anyway, glad I did it in softcore anyway… because I did again to refresh my memory… (plus, for the first time, take my bloody damn time to listen to all the dialog and read all the hints!) I didn’t want to risk the added hurdle of dying and having to do it again…
