You should be able to permanently pull out your hard-core character from the hard-core Realm. It kind of sucks, knowing that you’ve spent so much time and effort building this character and there’s no way you can save it/no way out.
Everything else stays the same such as Perma death but once you feel like you’ve had enough, you could essentially tap out and save your character to the normal mode
This maintains the high intensity feeling of hard cord mode because of Perma death and continues to incentivize gameplay in hard core mode, because of the better drops, but also gives you the added benefit of being able to save your hard work and use the character in the normal mode.

I’d agree with you completely except for that. If the drops were the same on hardcore and softcore then I’d say you should be able to permanently switch from hardcore to softcore whenever you want. I might even give the option, upon death in hardcore, to resurrect the character in softcore (although it would still permadeath in hardcore).
But if you get better drops in hardcore than softcore, then I think you shouldn’t be able to shortcut that by starting out in playing hardcore and then moving to softcore.
TLDR: I’d be in favour of the ability to permanently move a character from hardcore to softcore if and only if the drops are the same in both modes.
I believe hard-core provides a higher chance of better drops, but I’m not 100% sure about that. Even so, I still like the idea of increased chance of better loot. Because of the Perma death aspect in hard-core, there needs to be some sort of incentive to play it in the first place. I like to think of it as two different ways of leveling. Option A is the normal mode, everything is standard. Option B is hard core mode, where essentially you have a small uptick in XP gained and a small but higher chance of increased Loot drop, but the risks of this mode are much greater due to the permit death.
And if you want to pick up your chips and walk out of the casino, say after you hit level 60 or level 70 and you’ve put in a ton of effort and hours and you should be able to transition over to normal and keep that character.

Nope.
The only “advantage” of playing Hard Core is permadeath. There is literally no other difference.
