Harbinger of Hatred

Can we raise the cost of the Harbinger of Hatred chests to 12 Abhorrent Hearts so I can get rid of them quicker? This fight is so unsatisfying for the forced phase and animation time investment.

How much is the animation time investment?

I think they should just put a slot machine in Kyovashad that takes boss mats as tokens so people who don’t want to actually play the game can just push a button to get their loot.

This is how high damage builds already play anyway.

@Andarius: From the beginning of the fight you wait several seconds for the puppies to come out and introduce the big guy so he can shake and roar for a few seconds. Then you have a few seconds of wind up and wind down between each of the 3 fighting phases. Akarat appears after taking his own sweet time so that I have half of the portals burnt down before even utilizing the mechanism intended. It’s all just an annoyance when I’m making my boss runs.

@Harlequin, you might be right: maybe I’m just being extra whiney when we can’t even fix ā€œWave 0 of 10ā€. This fight just doesn’t even feel worth the time investment for me when I’m making the rounds - that’s my point. I would honestly use an Abhorrent Heart slot machine for a 0.50 % chance for a mythic.

I’m probably just old man / no time complaining. Do others find this fight enjoyable?

With enough dps you can ā€˜1 phase’ the ā€˜teir 1’ guys like greg, ice, ect; duriel, andariel, and doggo (ā€˜teir 2’) are nothing but animation lock. The player is permanently just waiting far all the drama and screaming to end so they can do inputs again.

I dont have a formal solution, but i think what we have rn is lame. They dont drop anything anyway so :person_shrugging:

Do him in T3, smash the mirrors.

You’re not wrong. That’s one of my go-to strategies when my OCD just wont let me see more than 3 Abhorrent Hearts in my inventory.

Yea, this new bosses that have forced pauses in their combat. I sell them to the vendor, nice passive income =)

Yeah welcome to farming games bro.
Why would I do a ten minute fight versus dropping down a couple tiers to do the same fight in seconds and only lose…1 item?

Reward has to be commensurate to time spent and it absolutely isn’t. I’ll take a one button boss over a lengthy one that gives the same loot any day.

Entire game is already a slot machine, I guess you haven’t noticed. :man_shrugging:

So the time investment for the boss is a few seconds?
