I take more breaks from D4 than I do any other game or even other Diablo games. I don’t even have a single toon to 75 yet cause it really becomes an absolute chore to play after an hour or two.

Class/Skill/Paragon/Aspect/Loot bugs. This plays majorly into everything else.
-
Build restrictions so limited on some classes you literally have 2 viable builds that spam a single skill with some cd’s. There is little to no variety. Builds that logically make sense perform horribly and make the game a slow slug fest. Reminds me of a worse version of the early Warhammer 40k:Inquisitor combat system, the only thing we are missing is a “Cover” mechanic to make everything extra “tactical” and “fun”.

Level Scaling makes you feel like a “normal person” at all times. You always feel “normal” and never feel “cool” or “awesome” or even a bit “powerful”. Sometimes you get the perfect mix of unique slots and aspects for your build and you can feel “powerful” because you now have youtube bro build. Fun!

I actually think this is a positive. I replaced melatonin with 15 minutes of Diablo 4 gameplay on my Steam Deck in bed. More often than not I fall asleep before minute 12. It’s changed my life for the better! Gone are the days of games keeping me up late, immersed, and totally unaware of the time.

Its just boring and rehashed content from d3.
I logged in last night… did 1 NM dungeon then logged off. The loot hunt just isnt special in d4.

I agree i play for maybe 30 min at a time get and get bored its kinda weird cause i also want to lvl up but i spend longer than 30 min looking at paragon builds or at the map looking for the next place to go. so i can get bored again…

Blizzard does not have any doctors that are available. However their dev team could really change OP’s health condition by improving the game.

Hahaha I woke up in my computer chair last night as well… It happens - lvl 53 atm and the Grind is killing me as well …
Edit - I said this in another thread - lvl Scalinig really does suck… You never feel powerful at all… If they would bring back Norm, Nm, Hell , Torment it would solve all the problems - IMO …

You guys should get tested for sleep apnea.
Try playing with a cup of coffee.
We play games like this for dopamine rushes.
D4 lacks the typical excitement (rushes) we have come to expect from an ARPG with the name so that right there is a good reason why you’d get sleepy.

I find this also. I get to like 60 minutes and feel like taking a nap.
Something is off.
D2 was simple. You have options of what to farm and you could do just that.
D3 was simple. You have options of what to farm and you could do just that.
D4 seems, bloated. There is a lot to do but it takes you to the world map. Then it falls apart. Gives me an odd feeling of information overload when NM Dungeons is really the only thing “WORTH” doing for any reason.
Biggest difference is : The Maps and the Objectives inside the Dungeons.
The objectives actually make the game feel worse and force the boredom on you. I just want lots of Demons to kill, and it be rewarding. I don’t care about “Free 6 Prisoners” breaking up the flow of the game. If these objectives were “WORTH” doing, it would be much better, might be better if they didn’t exist. How about a chest after completing the objectives inside required to advance the dungeon.
The maps… feel enclosed and empty a lot of the time. The layouts and map types for some reason start to feel the same. They are too similar and poorly designed IMO. I can sum it up in 1 word: LAZY.

This is due to a form of “highway hypnosis” induced by long periods of fixed perspectives.
Your brain’s number one job is threat assessment, but it’s still just the brain of a genetically superior monkey, only a few thousand years separated from having lions and bears as a concern as heavy as your current rent payment. As such, it will constantly modify resource allocation based on it’s perceived safety level.
In other words, if your brain feels safe sees the same thing occurring repeatedly, at the same rate, at the same perspective it will convince you to fall asleep to save energy, especially at night.
Pay attention the next time you’re feeling a little sleeby and then use your mount in-game. You’ll notice that you perk up just a lil’ bit as your character picks up speed, but it’s also and primarily due to the sudden perspective shift when the game zooms out, even the slightest bit. This is why, despite driving at 70 miles per hour in your car on the highway, your brain can still convince your body that a nap is a smart move.
you are falling asleep while playing because your only zoom options are close and closer and blizzard is not interested in changing the camera options, so you’re screwed.
