Halls of Judgment? Requires 2 players? Teleport gets disabled

Is this serious :joy:? At least lock/integrate it better if the player isn’t in a party.

I had no way to exit the dungeon without closing the game :+1:.

Even on sale, this expansion wasn’t worth it.

Dark citadel is a Coop content. yes. That information is easily accessible. Eventually you should inform yourself on what your purchase.

I think the main complaint here is that you can go in and start doing the citadel solo, but once you reach a part where two people are required there’s only two ways out. run all the way back to the start, or leave the game. if two people are required, it shouldn’t even let you in with one.

You can teleport out at any time. Not sure why people are running back.

Edit: Apparently you can’t teleport out from that particular room with the pressure plates. Very strange.

I do agree it shouldn’t let you in without 2 or more people though.

oh yea that i can agree on. no idea why you can enter the starting area solo.

Except teleporting out didn’t work.

hm? what do you mean it didnt work? Teleporting out will always bring you to the nexus (it ignores your favorite waypoint). Only areas where you cant teleport out are boss fights of course.

From the nexus youll have to use the worldmap then.

Very strange, I’ve teleported out many times. Hmm maybe it requires you to get to a certain point? I’ll have to test this later. I’ll go in solo on each wing and see if I can teleport.

Not that I’m doubting you. I just find it strange is all.

I bought the game to click around (see: action RPG) to go to waypoints, kill monsters, and pick up items. I skip all the cutscenes and play with no sound.

I didn’t know I had to do research before playing a part of the game I could easily access and then get soft-locked into.

Edit: I couldn’t teleport out at the part that requires a player to stand on a panel. Return home portal didn’t work. Map teleport didn’t work. Using a nightmare dungeon key didn’t work.

it is for sure strange. I didnt notice areas you cant teleport out before. except for active boss fights of course.

well you dont have to. It brings the advantage of being prepared tho. Now you learned the hard way that the citadel is Coop content ^^

update: thats indeed weird. just tried it myself. Teleport indeed doesnt work in the halls of judgement. first area it worked again was the crystalline chambers.

for sure worth a bug report - i can see that this is irritating.

do you want to do the bug report or should i do it? It pretty much behaves like you are in an active boss fight, where you cant use teleport.

I’ve already uninstalled the game and launcher. I’ve got no stake in D4 (and the rest of the Blizzard ecosystem tbh) anymore. By the way, thanks for being condescending on your first reply. I understand defending a game you like, and I also wanted to give it a chance, but after spending thousands of hours (and dollars) on WoW/SC/CoD/Diablo/Overwatch, it’s time to move on for me. :vulcan_salute:

Sorry for resurrecting, but just wow. I’m not sure a 30 second run back to the entrance is rage-quit worthy, but at least they added a pop up on entry.

I do disagree with using cheap little puzzles to force multi-player on people who want to see all the content in an overwhelmingly single-player franchise. It also is completely lore-breaking. You’re the Wanderer. If there were thousands of them, the demon problem would be long gone.

Pretty sure the teleport block is because the return spot isn’t exactly where you were standing. It probably could be used to get past the barriers and enjoy the game on one’s own terms. :slight_smile: Can’t have that, now, can we?
