I know there are a lot of issues right now, but has anyone else noticed that the hair and facial hair quality has become pixelated and looks horrible, since the patch today ( 1.1.0a)?

Aww, this was a perfect set up for a malding joke.
The beards and eyebrows do look pretty horrible.
@Blizzard - Can you please reset the hair quality back to pre-1.1.0a settings? Whatever you did made things look terrible.

I’ve always thought it looked kinda crappy, so I haven’t noticed a change.

I would post screenshots, but my trust level here is not level 3 yet…
In the character creation screen, short hair and trimmed beards look like a bunch of

When I was making a rogue yesterday, one of the hair styles was glitching out so bad it look liked her head was covered in rapidly moving ants lol, it took a minute or so to actually fix itself lol

This is not affecting the hair quality on female characters? I assumed that the edges of the hair would also be affected on them as well…
No my sorc’s eyebrows suddenly look like caterpillars, so it’s definitely affected female characters.

As long as those are fine, does anything else matter lol.
Do you have DLSS running? DLSS has always done pretty terrible with hair in a lot of games. I will say the hair in this game looks awful but the difference to me seems like DLSS enabled (lower quality hair) vs not (higher quality hair).
The developers have been pulling their hair out for so long it’s bled into their game.
It looks like their path to optimization will come at the cost of graphical decline. Which will not look good long term
Mine always looked like the 2nd picture, despite having a nice PC and ultra high graphics turned on (and downloaded).
It was like that in Closed Beta for me as well. I thought Blizzard just did a poor job on the hair.
No, I am not running DLSS.
In fact, after the patch dropped and I noticed the problem immediately at the character select screen, I reset the graphic options to very low and restarted the game. Then reverted settings one at a time, and nothing is changing it back to the first picture…
also the druids look slightly more fat. i mean i didn’t think that was possible since the launch version had the obese dial turned up to 11 but somehow…they managed to buff something.
