Guys we are asking for trouble

Seriously, watching the forums and not playing the last few days… do we or whoever trust Blizz to hear complaints and fix them? I can’t even log in. Come on and what changes will they do next?

not really, no. btw i’m not expecting anything anymore, i’m just passing time lazily, better here than playing i guess, and that’s itself a damning statement about the game “qualities”. they can do whatever they wish, likely it’s not going to affect me. i will probably soon (-er rather than later) decide it’s enough anyway for the money i spent to pretend i got it back (not really, since one thing is spending loads of money for something you like, even if it was an excessive price, you’d still have found pleasing doing that, another thing is spending no matter how little money for something you don’t like: at that point no matter if you do it for brief - and arguably, worse for long - you still dislike any single moment since you feel forced to do it, and are in general always unhappy and unsatisfied, so not worth the price at all no matter how cheap). then simply move on.

Exactly. Like I said, I cannot even log in. I spent hours watching old Zepp videos. I mean, I’m worried on what the next fixes will be. We should enjoy the game and now stress. I’m tempted to go back to d2r, yet that would support them.

We already know :

  • Patch 1.1.1

The +1 ressource generator basic skills.

No, I’ve seen all that.

I got to thinking earlier, when they lose a good amount of faithful players, what next. And I I/we shouldn’t have to think or worry.

Most my friend’s list is gone. Come on…

It’s Blizzard. Honestly this performance is expected. They consistently promise big, underdeliver, and fail to listen to community feedback. The only thing left to do is just stop playing to show this souless company that what they’re doing ain’t gonna cut it.

Yeah and that’s why I’m asking the general community. Probably stupid, but hey, lots of us grew up on all the games and they have just stabbed us in the back. I trusted them once again and now we have a trash crap game. Full of bugs. wth?

I used to love World of Warcraft. Would log in regularly with my guild to push raids, grind mythic dungeons, etc. The game was great. Then they had two souless expansions in a row where they pulled the classic “we know better than you” BS. I quit after that and haven’t looked back.

The company has some pretty big issues with not understanding what players want and either not being able to handle criticism, or not acknowledging feedback.

I’m giving away my age here, but even one of my grown daughters asked me earlier tonight. How is the game? I laughed and told her to go on YT to watch the cutscenes. I mean, my girls grew up on d1 and d2 and I couldn’t even recommend to buy it and play with me. She laughed and said she remembered Mephisto and it broke my heart that I could not just buy it for her or say yeah come play.

I feel ya, I recently reinstalled D2 with the Median XL mod and man… it’s not just the content, but the overall feel of the game. It’s like they knew what gamers wanted. D4 just feels like an endless grindfest with uninteresting items and massive class imbalance. Like ARPGs are supposed to be grindy, but they’re also supposed to be fun. I log into D4 and can’t play for more than 2 dungeons.

Yes, and that is the feeling I got from my daughter. Sure, I have the money if I wanted to buy the game so she could run with me. But why? I can go back to d2r.

Honestly, and it sounds strange, but there are some of us that played games with our kids and it just hurts that we can’t do that again. I’m expecting the white knights to come in and trash, but whatever. I raised four girls, four, and they all love the diablo franchise and i cannot even say yes, come play.

Yeah, I feel ya. I think maybe in a year or two the game might be decent, but right now I doubt most people would enjoy it past level 70. There’s just not much to do once you hit dungeon farming, and even the leveling process can feel monotonous because all gear boils down to find good rare → imprint aspect. There’s really no thought to it.

I’m being nostalgic and hoping for the best. I told her the lore and story was almost spot on (as a writer myself I tend to pick). They have so much they can work with and build on, yet they leave the old fans hanging. And that does hurt.

Yeah, I thought the story for D4 was actually pretty good for an ARPG, and there’s a whole lot they can do. However I fear that any additional story or meaningful content is going to be added in the next expansion, which likely won’t be for another 2 years at least. It’s a pretty sad day when after 2 months of playing an ARPG I’m already thinking of the next expansion but… it happens I guess.

I’m actually fearful on what they will do with the story!

Come on, do all of us old guys/girls just leave? I spent hours watching old Zeppelin videos because I just could not log on. My rogue sucks and I’m done.

I guess go back to d2?

I think you’re delusional. Apparently, Diablo IV is the third best selling game in 2023, behind 1. Hogwarts Legacy and 2. Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

I still play Diablo IV and I always see many people in the game seemingly having a good time. I’m looking forward to this week’s patch, also.

The game isn’t perfect, but it is a work in progress which I expect to only get better over time.

Ahh, here we go. Just whatever…

They’ve come lol. It happens on every thread criticizing the game, I wouldn’t pay them any mind.

I see 2 people in town max, and that’s including near the chest/wardrobe.

Probably because most people are in Tier 4 now, which is always packed.

These idiots, these apologists just do not get the feelings. Drones. Trash.

Diablo is a franchise that many of us grew up on or even played with family. They ruined d3, we turn around and trust them, and they made it even worse. I dare say they f’d up the story. It’s like good god.
