Correct me if I’m wrong, but…
During the last campfire chat, did Joe Piepiora say that when an uber unique (eg. Shako) drops from Duriel, it’s always going to have perfect stats on it?
That sounds even worse than Primal Ancients in D3.

They always roll max I level. Stat range is still randomized, unless that is changing?
nope, 925 ilevel and guaranteed max affixes, that’s what was said in the stream. “When you get a Shako, that is the best version, there is no better one”

Considering most players will won’t get any uber uniques, despite the target farm change, the max roll is…fine? It’s not going to ruin anyone’s experience to get a hyper rare item and it have good stats.

It depends how much they upped the uber unique drop rate. I am not holding my breath to get one. If i do, i do but i am not waiting for one to drop nor am i gonna go farm the stuff out of a mob to try and get one.
My farming days ended when i took the WoW needle out of my arm.

Considering the small % that make it to that stage of the game and the even smaller % that get a useful drop. This is a non issue.

Yea, we will see in a few weeks. Personally I think this kind of design kills the healthy competition between players in an ARPG, when everyone gets to be a winner eventually. (I was so proud of my perfectly rolled Hellfire Amulet in Diablo 3. Primal Ancients are absolutely disgusting. :D)

At the end of the day, everyone needs to strive for BiS. That is the important thing.
Getting an UU is just a really awesome bonus.
It’s not. Uber uniques are max stats on all rolls. You only need to find them once.
That’s new then. The one I got from the helltide bug only has mid range rolls.
You’ll no longer get them from helltide. UUs are a Duriel drop only.
Pretty sure they said they will still have the same trash worldwide drop chance. Duriel is just a higher chance.

Pretty sure, no. He actually said:
“There is NO chance you find the best items in helltide” and considering helltide is the highest zone in the game and given the fact the chests give the items +20 item power, I’d have to say you aren’t getting them anywhere else.
And if you look at the loot table, Duriel has all the UUs. Not even Lilith drops these things. It’s safe to say, you won’t see one before Lv 100.
Iirc. they never said that they they’re going to be removed from the global drop table. If anything the patch notes reaffirm that you still can:
“World Tier III: … Uber Unique … items will drop.”
Now you still won’t be realistically able to get them from helltide but that’s entirely on the ridiculously low drop rates and not because they’re some sort of Duriel exclusive.

That’s like saying everyone wins the lottery… eventually… Sure, given unlimited time and resources most things are possible… eventually. But in the real world with constraints that’s not the case.
The drop rate on Shako originally was less than 1 in 100,000,000 drops. So even if they increase that 100 fold… its still 1 in a million. Which means that if you get an item to drop every second, consistently, for your ENTIRE playtime… you’d still have to play for 115 days IN-GAME to have an even chance at a Shako.
“Everyone” will not have one. That’s a pipe dream

This is a wild misinterpretation of what he is saying. He was discussing the item power scaling from mob levels and how helltide and whisper caches get a +10 or +20 bonus to ilevel. Then he clarified that the ilevel still caps at 925 for these drops, so it doesn’t mean that you can only get the best items in the game from those caches. It had nothing to do with uber uniques.

Ah, I didn’t find it because you’re referring to it out of context. That’s pertaining to the ilvl changes which he mentions in the very previous sentence and is represented on the very slide that is up during that statement.
Whispers have never dropped Uber uniques either.
Uber uniques also don’t drop lower than max ilvl. At no point does he say they will roll with max stats either like you claimed in a different post or that Duriel will be the only source.
