Blizzard please don’t make us grind renown every season make it carry over its already enough of a headache that after grinding for weeks to get our character right where we want them when the seasons come out and basically erase all the work you put in (yes I know they stay in the eternal realm but if you want to take advantage of new mechanics/loot) doing the side quests and strongholds over and over to get renown every season is an awful idea just make renown carry over so all we have to worry about is leveling and gearing up
Just don’t do it, man.
The first 3 tiers are the only ones that really matter and they have such small requirements that they will naturally unlock just playing the game.
I don’t know about that 20 extra paragon points right off the bat sure do seem to help a bit
Minimal power creep in a game that can be beat/navigated without any of that power creep.

Point being, what should reset each Season? In your opinion? Because anything you can come up with someone will disagree it shouldn’t reset at all.

They aren’t necessary for 99% of the content in the game.
Paragon points are the only things that matter, that is why it’s last.
You seriously don’t understand the importance of Paragon points if you think you can skip them.
I don’t think anything should reset why not make it where your character pre season just participates in the season for the rewards and new mechanics and to curve the fact that your level 100 character is “starting over” just have seasonal level that way you can do stuff with your level 100 fully geared character but you still have to level up the season

I would weight the importance skill points > potions > paragon points > obuls (spelling?) when discussing renown.
I do not think the extra 20 paragon points matter until you’re approaching Uber Lilith, although I’ve heard difficulty starts to spike at level 92 for some reason - some kind of scaling behind the scenes?
lets look at any of the passives on the paragon board. The big ones are stronger than any single passive on any talent tree in the game. By a longshot. That makes the paragon board arguably more important than any single talent point. I just don’t understand your logic.

I also think renown past the first 3 tiers can be achieved fairly casually while focusing on more impactful things to your character.
You can get a huge chunk knocked out just playing the game to 100, why does it matter that you don’t get that spike immediately at 50?
So that just means strong holds and side quests right?
Im cool with side quests and strongholds, the strong holds take about 5 minutes to do and the side quests you’ll end up doing anyway for the experience and early crafting mats.
Nothing ‘reset’ in the Eternal Realm. Blizzard wants us to play as a new character every Season because the game is design around that concept. That’s just the rule of the game they put out. It’s like playing a basketball game without every dribbling. It can be done. It makes the game easier. But no one will ever agree to it.
