Green sets please?

It’s time to clean up the mess and bring green sets back into the game. What I miss most are items for use with resource-generating skills. I love playing necromancers using the decompose skill. I’d love to see green sets focused on basic skills. It’s time to put aside the nitpicking and bring back green sets! We need more build options! One of Diablo 4’s biggest problems is the lack of build variety! We need to diversify a lot more! The game is currently one of the most boring I’ve ever played! We want to see green sets back!

What do you think mandatory Aspects and Uniques are? Do you really need someone to call it a Set and change the UI font to green?

Calm down man…

Why so much hate with green sets?

Pass. Majority doesnt want to see the return of D3 sets.

Not to say they cant have set items but not in the way it was executed in D3. I dont trust blizzard to do a good implementation, so Id rather not see a return of them.

D3 sets will just further steamline/oversimplify D4 even further making it worse then it already is.

+1 for sets. We might as well have it at this point. I’d rather collect sets than trash unless it’s trash sets then it’s even worst

how would sets increase build variety? sets basically reduce the gearslots you have.
so instead of having 10 slots with 10 aspects, you’d have 4 slots + 1 set.

you go from having 10 choices down to 5 choices you’d have to make.

Why worry so much about past sets? The game has already failed in almost every way, and this whole fear of green sets seems irrational to me! The game needs to show different things because the way it is, it won’t have a long lifespan anyway!

I like the idea of sets… but IDK why adding them would be more beneficial than just adding new Uniques and Aspects.

If a set affected Dance of Knives, for example, everyone who wants to play DoK would need it right now (Since DoK only has 1 direct Aspect). And we get enough of that kind of build funneling right now with just Uniques in the game for our skills. The game would need to add A LOT more Dance of Knives Uniques and Aspects so that adding the set wouldn’t entirely replace DoK variety or be the only DoK option. But at that point, would we even really need sets, or could we just add more Uniques and Aspects?

Sets would have to bring something new to the table that also doesn’t destroy build variety on a power scale or variety within whatever the set is supposed to empower.

I just don’t know what would make sets different or special enough to add to the game at the moment.

No on sets. They kill build variety.

Lol why would I fear sets. It has nothing to do about fear but the track record of D4 devs and how theyve handled the game since S4.

the only thing D4 devs have done is clone D3 making it an oversimplified steamlined cheap experience. They lack the creativity to successfully implement anything outside of D3.

Sets would just make the game worse.

I wonder what game would be more popular…

Im all for Diablo 4 for dummies, and 5 year old me loves color matching for power! WAIT A MINUTE!!! Why not just have the game create an AI name for your “set”? I mean its funny because I thought the Runes did that, but then the Rune combo names (CirCeh Lethargic Alpha Canid) never changed and I was like “ur an idiot”.

I would much rather see chaos armor stick around than see D3 sets again.

Blizzard has shown that they cant be trusted withy designing set items.
Better not to go down that route ever again.

However, if sets were ever added, make them:

  • Small sets, like 3 items at most. With only a 2 set bonus.
  • Based on broad themes. Like an avoidance defensive set, an attack speed set, and so on. Stuff that can work across all classes. None of them should ever affect individual skills.

Weirdly enough, Diablo 3 did make this kind of set design too. It was just drowned out in the catastrophe that was class sets.

How would you feel if glyphs mere made into sets rather than the actual items?

Like brand new glyph sets, wear these in your paragon board for extra bonuses.

If anything, sets(if done like D3 sets) are doing the complete oposit. What I would like to see is something more like D:I sets.

When you make an irrational statement like this, (to me) all your credibility goes out the window.

Id prefer something new and original than recycled d3 garbage. Challenge the devs to come up with a new idea vs SSDD

Most of the functions of sets will hopefully be incorporated into their skill system revamp. That’s not to say that they couldn’t still add them to the game for some really off-the-wall gameplay opportunities, but it does mean that they’re unlikely to be as important to core gearing. :v:
