Why is it so hard for the developers to understand the need for a different color on items that receive a greater affix values?
Many times a pile of loot drops and depending on the z-order of the items displayed, an indicator at the end of the name is hidden, so that you cannot see that a greater affix item dropped. Knowing immediately that an item dropped would make me stop farming and review if the item might be a potential good upgrade, also providing that added dopamine hit as well.
Additionally, when viewing a pack filled with all legendary items… Some items contain upgrades to the Codex of Power, which shows a small silver/white highlight, and you may have one item somewhere in the mix that has a greater affix dot, which may or may not sit on-top of a grey/silver colored piece of armor or weapon. It is extremely easy to overlook these items when going through and salvaging all, which is what I believe many of us do when reaching end-game and looking for equiment upgrades that meet a specific criteria.
Once you near lvl 100 and have your base gear established, the hunt begins for items containing that perfect role with greater affix values, why make it harder for us to identify them? Why the continued push-back from devs that they want to keep the color the same? I’ve heard the argument that we don’t understand that we have lengendary and uniques that are different colors, which may receive greater affix rolls, but that is a poor argument, in my opinion. Pick 2 colors then to represent both conditions, if that is what is needed. How hard is it to simply give us some colors to show a different category of items?
Please give us color variation and make our lives simpler, where we don’t accidentally salvage potentially great items, because you do not want to change colors.
