This aspect is not working at all, in the beta it was pulling enemies toward you, currently doing nothing. Please fix, essential to the build.
All the Barbarian displacement (pushing/pulling mobs) abilities are bugged/not working and Blizzard aren’t fixing it.
Charge doesnt work all the time or not at all, Steel Grasp doesnt work all the time, Grasping aspect not working.
Joseph Piepiora said they’ll look into it a few days ago.
I messaged Adam Fletcher, but maybe they are too busy to fix fundamental build skills in the game. Cash shop MTX got hotfixed pretty quickly.
My builds are literally not working because of these bugs and I don’t really want to play at this point. It’s a chore now.
Blizzard team can we please get a blue post response on the progress on fixing this bug?
it’s a bit of a crapshow isnt it.
betas looked more on point than live lol.
feels like theres a wind of panic and they break stuff rather than fixing it lol
I have it, and the power is working fine.
The only “fixes” barbs are getting are over the top nerfs. Reroll rogue, and faceroll everything while they keep gutting barb, because streamers.
The skill appears to be working but it feels like a noob trap in its current iteration. It procs rarely (like once every 3 or 4 packs) and the range on it feels like it’s not that much further than Whirlwind itself.
My guess is that it’s balanced around vanilla Whirlwind and needs some proc rate normalization to account for users with the Unbridled Rage key passive.
How often is the suction proccing for you?
Not the guy you asked but it’s really infrequent; I’ll see it once every half dozen packs. I’ll revise my earlier statement on the rage being barely more than WW though: it’s quite a bit longer, just requires LOS.
Really nice when it procs at a convenient time, but that’s rare enough that it won’t affect your gameplay enough to be better than a different Offensive Aspect.
Agree, no way this is working as intended. Would never make sense to have such an infrequent proc and give up a damage or survivability aspect for that.
Sheesh, that’s a pretty big deal for all barbs. Glad I put mine on hold.
Then it’s much better than Charge now. Charge randomly just goes through entire pack instead of pulling any. Usually if it’s 1 or 2 alone it will take them with, the greater the pack, the more gets left behind.
This was the foundation of my build and now I cant use it.
Steel Grasp chains did the same thing in the beta:
Usually first cast pulls then second one doesnt. Sometimes Grasp only pulls them a little distance, instead of all the way to you.
You know what?
Blizzard didn’t fix that either. So here we are, Charge and Whirlwind grasp is bugged too.
It’s a massive problem for Barbarian builds right now, but not much is being said and after a week, Blizzard haven’t fixed it. Steel Grasp has been unreliable in displacement since betas, but I thought that’s how it was supposed to be, now with Charge getting the same issue, we know it’s not the case.
Blows my mind that a skill can be removed from the game due to its uselessness from this bug, but Blizzard can ignore it.
There already isn’t that many builds and skills
@Blizzard any comment on this? Is there a fix coming for grasping whirlwind?
I am so glad i am not the only one who noticed this… I get a proc maybe 1 time every 5 minutes… That’s just not even worth it at all.
Still no reply from Blizzard.
Charge, Steel Grasp, WW Grasp all not working properly, essentially removing their utility from the game. I can wait until Season 1 starts to see if they address that
I can’t get over how this isn’t working. It’s a foundational part of the ww build lol.
Bigger concern is how none of these paid streamers aren’t saying anything.
Don’t wanna upset the cart? Lots of people including myself got banned on these forums in the 48hours leading up to early access launch for criticizing aspects of late build gameplay post-embargo.
some streamers that played the closed beta (Rob) said that ww pull was nonstop procing and they nerfed it for the full release :)), its just NoFunBlizzard at work guys.
