Recently, when I play Diablo 4, or even log in, my character screen or in-world screen becomes covered in large colored “spots” and enough of them to cover the entire playable screen. It seems that these particles that bloom covering my entire character screen and really any screen after the Diablo IV loading screen when I start the game. The particles could be due to some in-game particle effect not rendering correctly, such as rain particles or dust.
These are in red, blue, green , white, yellow, pink, and other colors.
I have a Radeon 6950 XT graphics card, which is new from March 2023 and this issue did not start while I played the first Open Beta or when I started playing a few days ago. It has started heavily since I began Act II yesterday.
I have tried the following without resolving the problem:
I have tried with multiple monitors (3 monitors) on different cables. All having the same particle bloom issue.
I have tried updating my graphics card driver to its latest, and the issue persists.
I have updated my Windows 11 OS to latest version, and the issue persists.
I have tried other games - they do not have this issue and the graphics card performs well.
I have tried scanning and repairing the game, no fix.
I have tried lowering graphics to low and then high on different monitors - no difference.
I have removed every additional external setting from Radeon Adrenalin
I have NOT tried:
replacing my graphics card
uninstalling the game and re-installing.
I will try reinstalling game and updating here first as I believe firstly this is a settings issue within the game files.
Here is a picture of the issue:

EDIT:
Uninstalling and re-installing the game has not resolved the issue. Applying “FidelityFX Super Resolution 2” setting to “Ultra Performance” significantly decreases the particle sizes, but does not eliminate them. Using this setting also introduces artifacts in the form of streaks of lines across my screen.
I have also tried removing my game cache and restarting, without fixing the issue.
My current Driver is AMD Software: Adrenalin 23.5.2. I expect this is a driver issue, GPU heat issue, or physical card issue. I am waiting for new drivers to see if this improves. My Temperature sits around 54-57 degrees C or 129 - 159 F.
EDIT: I have set GPU fan to run more often via MSI Afterburner. You can do the same based on what Motherboard you have. I will update results here.
EDIT2: A few more updates, however none of these worked.
With MSI Afterburner, I am running GPU fan more often - 38 degrees C on average.
I have tried reverting to following older display drivers
Driver Date: 10/20/2022
Windows Driver: 31.0.12027.7000
Driver Date: 3/26/2023
Windows Driver: 31.0.14043.7000
Adrenalin 23.4.1
EDIT 3:
I have opened a ticket with XFX to start an RMA Return Merchandise Authorization. I have followed all of their recommendations and none fix the issue.
I have since reverted to my old graphics card (Radeon Vega 64) and the game works well on HIGH graphics at 1080P, which is better gaming experience than I have had recently.
I am having a problem related to this… I think anyway. Have been playing for about 5 hours and now when I click on an NPC (say the blacksmith or armorer) for a brief nanosecond the NPC’s box turns pink as does mine…when the paperdoll opens. Brief flash of pink and then it goes away. I also noted that at the same time this started, I can’t join local chat channel. Keep getting the "Not in a valid game channel. (Code 10001). Really strange and these are the very first problems that I have encountered thus far in the game.
having the same issue. I also opened a ticket explaining this problem.
They told me that the GPU does not meet the requirements. But I was playing on full with very good FPS using Nvidia Quadro RTX A2000 ( and HP Zbook with 32 gigs of RAM and i7-11800H . All was fine until I have reached level 20 or so. Now it’s unplayable because this artifacts appear quite often.
First they appear like Cyan and Magenta flashes across the screen at random, followed by ghosting effect or loss of textures (black).
the only option for me is to hit ESC-options and the effect is gone for a little while.
monitored the GPU temp, does not exceed 60 degrees Celsius. Tried everything from removing of Hi Texture assets, put the settings to low, reinstall drivers and such.
