Gorilla1/Centipede2 OP

The Spirit Hall mechanic Gorilla-1/Centipede-2 combo looks ridiculously OP. It appears as if the devs put their A team on Spiritborn.

However, as a Sorcerer player, I can’t help but shake my head as they removed Ice Shield’s barrier leech only to have another class get and extremely better and permanently active version.
I wish they would put even a fraction of this effort into fixing our class mechanic, Enchantments are mostly useless and the few that aren’t are far too weak. However I still won’t be purchasing this Expansion if they’re strategy is to force us to buy the new shiny class while Sorc and Druids remain in the dumpster.

Raxx said in his stream that the class is not yet balanced.

Neither are any of the release classes so thats pretty much expected

Love how they literally state for the PTR Things will be broken and glitchy, and NONE of what we experience there is a fianl product guaranteed of any portion we experienced in it. but everyone runs off preaching and crying about it all as if its the final word on it. The testing for the new class was limited to whomever was at that convention right? and even then after they tweak and rebalance. they arent going to leave a class able to just spam its ultimate as its main dmg source.
even the lightning sorc ultimate isnt a powerhouse by itself, amongst couple other examples of classes able to reduce CD enough to keep up ultimates. we wont know for sure til live though.

Pretty sure Death Trap rogue could already on PTR. Either way, based on these uniques for the class, it is about to define unbalanced to a new level. Some of the items give the soft cap cool down reduction from one piece of gear. Tempers give +15 charges to jaguar skills etc.

100%dodge/block/dmg reduction.

Class makes all other class uniques look like garbage.

Rogue could do that since day 1 and will have 2 strong Ultimate spam builds in season 6. while I do think Spiritborn will come in fairly strong for at least 1 season, I also think some things look too strong because people are neglecting that when compared to its Dex counterpart, its missing two weapons, which have to be made up for in some way.

Agreed but then you compare to Druid using 2H and consider that Spiritborn will likely scale same way as those classes with main stat, it’s uniques look absolutely busted in addition to some tempers - plus Spiritborn basically had multiple mini class mechanics built into it with Ferocity and Resolve.

Like where the +15 dash or shadow step charges. Barb and Rogue have to take an aspect slot to get 1 extra charge (compared to 15).

That said, the biggest flaw is you want to run all the uniques so either main stat or armor/resistance a bit more work to cap.

Yeah, there are some crazy stuff that like I stated previously, probaly won’t be toned down until Season 7.

Im really considering using a Gorilla/Centipede build too. The best of both worlds it looks like. I havent found any builds online - honeslty Im not looking and just going to try it and see what happens …

Builds are out. At the time of your post, the sites couldn’t release the builds. Try poison with gorilla in slot 1 and centipede in 2. Don’t forget to have 2 mercenaries going, 1 primary and 1 reinforcement. They get experience.

Cause it’s easy to see the synergies and play style.

My money is on eagle/jaguar being the real OP spec.
